I've been afraid to check out Insomnium's newer stuff because I loved Since the Day it All Came Down so much and all my favorite bands' best music is behind them. But this album is awesome! Any other great newer Scandinavian metal I should check out?

I'm so blown away. How do they do it? HOW?! Not even 1 of their albums is bad, heck not even one is average. They're all soooo good!

i feel the exact same!! everytime they drop an album im lost for words. ive had this album on repeat the last few days and cant get enough

I know right?! I decided to take a step back and listen to the rest of their albums just to see if I don't actually enjoy even half an album. Didn't find a song that I don't enjoy!

I think the creativity in their music and lyrics really comes from the heart, somewhere deep they dig for these emotions and release these great albums, with great meaning.

"Pale Morning Star," makes me think of Jesus, and my wife. What an awesome song guys.

Odd to associate the "morning star" with Jesus. In Christianity, Lucifer is known as the morning star--his name etymologically means Bringer of Light. Where as in Roman mythology, it was known as Venus (the planet and the goddess of beauty)

In the Bible there are also few refferences to Jesus as,, morning star"

Definitely. But i doubt even ETOS can reproduce the likes of album such as *Chaotic Beauty* & *A virgin and a whore* .Those were classics.

​@Bitupan Bora I totally don't see them going back to those album styles. xD I actually prefer Children of the Dark Waters style very much, and although Saivon Lapsi has good songs, it's still behind, I feel. I just wish they wouldn't take a millenia to release a new album each time. They're very underrated.
