Ingram, James - Remember The Dream Lyrics

You have a choice
Your heart will know
You gotta look back sometime
To know where to go

You have a voice
Long as you live
It's never too small
Whatever you got to give

When your life is low (hold on)
And you want to let go (be strong - hold on)

Remember the dream we had
When there was nothing else
Remember the light that shines
And find it in yourself
Remember the dream is yours
So let it guide your way
And keep it alive with you each day

Don't ever say
You just don't care
the chances you take
Will take you as far as you dare

Don't be afraid
Hold your head high
There's strength in your soul
You never know till you try

When your life is low (hold on)
And you want to let go (be strong -- hold on)

You're not alone .. somebody cares
(Hold on ...be strong)
When you're walkin' the road
With those who been there
(You're not alone)

Remember the dream is yours
So let it guide your way
And keep it alive with you each day.

Remember you when ,you were young, don't let go, it is a difficult place to be yet, if you stay out of the mainstream and create a positive reality, you have chance to share it with others through action and love.  You are not alone...

I love this song because it was made for young blacks in the 90's and I still cherish this.

I know right I remember when MCDonalds was using it in their commercials for Black History month.

  28. F.... V....

I was taking a trip down memory lane and remember when I was in the Air Force and I put together a presentation with "Remember the Dream" as the song that pulled everything together. I was a young SSGT and the Generals presentation NCO and I loved every minute I worked with the Black History Month committee. I can still hear the roar in the room when this presentation finished. Proud to be an American!

Steve, this is so powerful … so important … and so perfectly executed.  Just heard it several moments ago, appropriately at the close of MLK’s holiday (2015).   Thank you and, of course, Stephanie and Joe (may they r.i.p.) for this remarkable contribution to the King legacy and the principles that defined the man, himself.
