It’s a matter of opinion, really. I had this on my iPhone and wasn’t aware of what song it was until I heard the lyrics. I adore the original. I remember the first time I heard it and the “eargasm” that swept me away. I love this cover because she made it her own. It got a metal makeover. I love her voice. There’s an actual vocal talent there and the screams are where they should be. I listened to this enough times to honestly say that it was well done. Of course, the original is life. Lol. She just turned the volume up, blew up the speakers. To all the haters in the comments, she makes me love Trent Reznor even more because he wrote something was so relevant that no matter what, we are still listening years later. Just started listening to In This Moment, and and I love the band so far.

Don't really know why people expect a cover detail for detail of the original - that's boring! The band have adapted it into their style and put their take on things into the cover and if you don't like it then that's fair enough of course but saying she's got nothing on Reznor is a bit unfair. Of course she hasn't. It's not the original song at all.

I love this cover of the song!!I always thought a female version would sound great with the right vocalist, but i would have never guessed ITM would do a cover of this song which she done a very impressive job with the cover!!!?@! Maria sings this song as if she wrote it herself because she sings it with such passion??!@! She only picks songs that she can relate to, so i guess that's why she does a fantastic job on her covers!! I was really blown away by their cover of Pantera's I'm Broken!! Wow, i would love for someone to ask Phil in an interview what he thought of her cover of his classic Pantera hit!! Well, ask him what he thought about the whole band's attempts at their part of the cover! I actually think that Phil would say that he is impressed!
