I never gave this album a chance, I'm glad I decided to give them a listen..... Yeah it's no clayman or whoracle.... But it's still in flames we trust

This whole CD was on the pa at the printing 3rd shift

I only listened to this album twice upon it's initial release. Listening to it again a few years later I've come to the conclusion it's nowhere as bad as I thought back then. I get some ASOP vibes - but also some early IF vibes (especially in the first half of the intro). A bit of a heavier guitar tone and somewhat heavier vocals from Anders and it would have been pretty on par with their earlier stuff. I guess my tastes just took a little longer to evolve than the guys'.

Everyone's always closed minded about what's cool at the time , I just appreciate their music. Been a fan since 2001

This song always makes me so sad because it reminds me of 2011, since I would always listen to the album. That was a good year, if only things could go back to being like that.

@wisk frocai I feel pretty much the same. I remember wandering around in their home town Gothenburg after back to back concerts with Iron Maiden and Big 4 (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth), listening to this album and just feeling awesome.

Cool to see someone who appreciates Whoracle also appreciating how good this album is. Probably right behind but insanely close to Come Clarity as contender for best post-Clayman album.

All metal bands have their soft songs, if this comes as a surprise for you then you aren't' a true fan of metal. They're still talented as fuck and i think it's amazing that they can pull off both heavy sounds and soft sounds. Definitely shows their true diversity, and a band who can be as diverse as these guys is a true talent.

i love the choir singing sound in the background of the beginning of this song, its so fucking sick. this, enter tragedy, ropes and darker times are they best songs on this album

I'd rather have Mikael again than these puberty screams/growls. And I disagree, Reroute to Remain and Soundtrack to your Escape are two of the worst in my eyes, but opinions I guess.

I like all In Flames stuff,from Whoracle to SOAPF...Its still In Flames although they change in every album! For me there is no waste.

@BroMENCE Black Ash Inheritance is an ep, the album is called The Jester Race. They still play play songs from Whoracle, Colony and Clayman so nothing happened at all! Great song!

I'll tell you what, when you make a band that defines an entirely new subgenre of metal and can put out twenty years worth of albums each one of which sounding different to the previous and still be enthusiastic enough to continue. You can come to me and tell me what is and isn't metal.

@antangel For me Metal doesn't always have to be hard, or aggressive, and there are also many kinds of Metal, so this album and this song are still Metal for me :)
