Sidenote I was late to watching Buffy. Shame on me and the movie that turn me off. But now that I have watched Wow . This episode is always on repeat. And the first scene always hooks me in.

For the young people that dont know Buffy, they should put Buffy on netflix way better than Vampire Diaries and other shows.

The fact that this episode & the series generally was ignored by The Emmys, Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards. Still fucking boils my PISS.
Then 2008 True Blood (which I loved!!!) picks up every award

I have this album

This is by far THE best musical episode of any show. The songs were purposeful. Each characters conflict played out through gorgeously written songs. The key is the imperfection too. They aren't professional singers (for the most part) and they aren't singing covers for fun. It was just people singing out there feelings and i always loved it no matter what

Scene takes place in a graveyard at night, the singer fight with vampires and demons, she kills, she sings about her depression, she reject "Charming Prince" offer, she's not a fragile little princess and she says her last words after she popped out of dead dust.

Despite being a demon, and doing demonic things, Sweet turned out to be one cool demon, who could tap dance. He moved the story forward.

Kiedy oglądałam ten odcinek i zdziwiłam się, że czołówka się różni, a potem Buffy zaczęła śpiewać i szczena mi opadła, dalej oglądałam z ostrożnym sceptyzmem, ale wyszło, jak się okazało genialnie :D xDD Nic tak nie oddaje emocji niekiedy, jak muzyka. A ten odcinek był pełen emocji.

This odd little show based on a terrible movie turned out to be the start of TV becoming amazing. I remember watching the first season and then noticing how complex and amazing it was. This is the ultimate expression of that creativity and genius and the heart of the characters.

Just speaking from personal experience, I have seen this episode get many people hooked onto the series who weren't interested in it before. It's a rare example of a good TV musical episode. Every song has perfect characterization and makes you want to learn more about the story. The whole episode has the characteristic snarky wittiness that you can expect from the rest of the series. And it has no obvious off-putting errors, it's well-done on the level of craftsmanship, and gives an overall great impression of everything.

I saw one guy on this show that was very familiar like extremely intergalactical e familiar the guy that played Giles is also the same guy that played on Doctor Who wonder what other shows he played on before and after Buffy the Vampire Slayer maybe I'll never know and that's okay even if I am wondering what show he played on before and after Doctor Who

I saw him several years before Buffy started on stage as Frankie Von Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, he was perfect. He's been in loads of things in the UK and is well known here. He used to be famous for being the foxy male lead in a series of awful coffee adverts over here where he and Sharon Maughan flirted over steamy cups of Gold Blend.😂

It’s 2018 now, and somehow this is still popular! It’s my favorite show, ever!

I remember the first time this episode came out, me and my family watched it, the second Buffy started singing my dad paused the TV and we all turned to each other like WHAT THE HELL?!?? I wish I could go back to that moment, we were utterly awestruck! I’ve seen this episode a million times and I still love it, but nothing beats the feeling of watching this episode with no knowledge or expectation of what’s about to happen.

In a way this Buffy Musical revives the classical Musical tradition from the Fourtieth and Fiftieth. yes this form of art had much more to offer as just a couple of nowdays popular songs.

Before he died he stayed a few days at the hospital and the first day that he stayed there I watched this episode.
