Humble Pie - One Eyed Trouser Snake Rumba Lyrics

I wanna know what you're living for
Are you the kinda girl that lives rather low?
I got the key and you got the door
Throw away your troubles baby, gimme more.

Gimme more, yeah gimme more of that loving
Gimme more, oh oh I want more.

I wanna know why your face so red
You gotta lay down what's in your head
Do your time, top gay bag, it's said
No talk now honey, make the bed.

Gimme more, yeah I got loving
Gimme more, oh oh I want more.

I wanna know what you're living for
Are you the kinda girl that lives rather low?
I got the key and you got the door
Throw away your troubles honey, gimme more.

Gimme more, yeah gimme more of that loving
Gimme more, yeah, I said I want more
Gimme more, oh oh that's right
Gimme more, oh I want more
Oh.

    such a great riff!

Yes, besides my two vinyl copies, I also have an early 90's A&M Japanese CD (not even listed at many sites) that I bought new as an import at an HMV in Canada. I've also seen the German Repertoire CD reissue, a more recent Japanese A&M CD reissue, and one on the UK label Lemon Recordings. If you go over to Discogs, you'll see several still sealed Mint copies of the aforementioned CD's for sale starting at around $10.

I guess I meant CD. Unfortunately I sold all my LPs and my turntable ages ago. Now that I see LPs are making a comeback, I may have to take the plunge and acquire another turntable so I can listen to gems like this one. Thanks for the reply.

  6. d.... ....

Hmm...I see copies in the second hand vinyl shops all the time. Both original pressings and mid 70's/early 80's re-issues. Also on-line...Discogs has no less than 20 vinyl copies for sale (pressed in various countries- UK, Canada, US, France).

  7. K.... M....

This album is impossible to find.

  8. d.... ....

"Best" is purely suggestive, and that's your opinion. What I said is that Steve's "High-point" was with Humble Pie, which is a fact. There is no subjectivity in that statement.

  9. k.... M....

I do not agree. Some of Marriott's best came from Small Faces . I do agree that Humble Pie also was great. I have noting but respect for EVERY BIT of his Marriott's cannon of music.

  10. B.... F....

Saw them many times in NYC in the 70's.... And even once had a couple of drinks with Marriot at a club in The Rockaways, in Queens. He had no label then, and they were playing a dive...a total dive. I told him I'd seen him open for Derek and the Dominoes at The Fillmore East. We had a few drinks, then they played. I think he died soon thereafter. My favorite band of the 70's.....

  11. d.... ....

    Thanks for stopping by :)
All the best in the New Year!

  12. w.... ....

hey thanks so much for the Pie Movie Love this band since 69 alwaysgood to hear it again Quality sound on this one too!! Cheers buddy !

I am with you on this. ♪♪♪

  14. D.... R....

My very 1st concert was in 4/13/1973 Buffalo, NY, Memorial Auditorium Spooky Tooth, Tranquility. Frampton!
    I love Steve.

That is Peter on the solo!

I never said it was rare to find young people that are into this music. I'm well aware of this, as I have kids in their early 20's...they and many of their friends listen to music from this era. I'm also a regular at a music related site (7 years), where the Rock & Pop section is made up largely of teens & tweens...many of which thrive on this stuff.
Maybe your comment is meant to be directed at someone else?

  16. J.... G....

It's not really that rare to find young people who dig this stuff. Especially if you consider the internet and all the retro rock bands that mention these bands and performers in interviews. Just Saying.

  17. c.... ....

steve's one of the GREATEST.. maybe his shining moment; haven't heard this live thoi..

  18. d.... ....

I'm not imposing anything, merely opinion, which is what most realistic persons would regard as fairly obvious. I'm not a rock star, so comparing my life and what I may or may not achieve with regards to my profession is pointless. Steve's hi-point was with Humble Pie...this much is obvious to ANYONE. His time with the Pie ended in 1981. In the 10 years post-Pie, his achievements paled in comparison. Doesn't take a Ph.D to assume that his future wouldn't have been the hi-point of his career.

  19. d.... ....

Well, I guess it depends on who you talk to. If you ask most of us 60's/70's rockers in the age range of 50-65, you'll no doubt get some recognition for Bobby Tench. I have him on a lone LP by the band "Gass", along with the two Jeff Beck Group LP's "Rough n Ready" and the self titled. He also played along with Roger Chapman in Streetwalkers...and I'm sure if I dug through my LP's I'd find him guesting here and there as well...
It's so cool that you're into this stuff. Dad's record collection?

  20. M.... ....

Yeah, I was born in the wrong time. I'm collecting records, listing tot Humble Pie and other 60's and 70's music. And a huge fan of a man called Bobby Tench who nobody seems to know.

    Oh, i'm 23

  21. 6.... ....

ONE of the Greatest frontmen ever?? THEEEEEEEEE FUCKING GREATEST EVER!!!!!
I saw them, like you, Twice with Frampton in Detroit ar the EASTOWN Theater. I was 15. AND got stoned off my ass. joints passed all night

  22. J.... B....

Tina Turner stole his vocal chops! LOLololol.

  23. m.... ....

@drprogensteinphp thanks for uploading this.....these guys were just a few years before my time but I remember my older sister and her friends partying to this......what a cool video.....thanks for the "timetravel".....some stuff just never gets old

  24. l.... ....

l anna know how much pressure the record cmpany must have given them to tittle this track "l wanna know"

  25. b.... ....

@bbqeatinbuckeye make that Ronnie not Rinnie. *Sheesh*

  26. s.... ....

rumbalicious pie! gr8 job on the vid! love it :)

  27. j.... m....

    @jmi11er I don't know....FREE comes pretty close...

  28. d.... ....

    @craigs1955
Steve had pretty much achieved "greatness" by 1975...hard to say what he would have done had he lived beyond 1991, but I think it's safe to say it would have paled in comparison to what he'd already achieved prior :)

  29. C.... L....

Just think how Great he would have been had he lived longer!! So Sad,

  30. d.... ....

    @SNOWCHILD1011
    Glad you enjoyed...cheers!

  31. S.... ....

great slide show !! thank you !!
    ROCK ON

  32. b.... ....

Twenty years ago today you left this Earth. Your songs live on and through all musicians that play from the heart & soul. May you have the peace in death that you didn't have in life. Hope you are with Rinnie writing some new songs with all the past drama behind you. Grace & peace to all tonight. Rock on Steve!

  33. m.... ....

Love this album and tune. Rock On! RIP Steve & Greg...

  34. Z.... ....

@hydraIX You said it, This has always been one of my favorite Pie songs. This is the ultimate rock and roll anthem. It is not one of the more well known songs, and the album has no name and is impossible to find. Rock On.

  35. h.... ....

So Soulful was the supergroups of late 60's - early 70's. Humble Pie was like no other. They don't make music like this anymore !!!

  36. b.... ....

Really appreciate you posting this. Great graphics, animation! Just wonderful! Really miss Steve Marriott as well. Think of all the music we DIDN'T get due to his tragic death. Nice tribute to him friend! Grace and peace! Rock on!

  37. H.... ....

    @ 1:56 !!!

  38. R.... ....

Steve fucking Marriot shine on you beauty!

    you will NEVER be forgotten.

  39. R.... ....

So nice you've met Steve mate, such a nice bloke wasnt he?

I saw humple pie(first gig!) at the london palladium.

Things were never the same after that, heh heh.

  40. d.... ....

Yes, I was fortunate enough to see them live back in the early 70's on a few occasions. Twice with Frampton, and twice with Clem.
Steve had such a great stage persona...I'm sure meeting him would have been one heck of an experience indeed!

  41. G.... M....

Great video!! The photos are amazing and depict the exact historical moment. Cooooool.
