Maybe I will say this as a comment on this particular song, because it is so good. It is simple and classic. We are probably gonna start singing it in our house. But there is a thing. I see it with you guys, I see it with ETWC, and I see it a bit with Rend Collective. It is a tendency to do every song slow and melancholy, even "weepy."

I remember a concert in our little country church back in the Eighties. It was Jews for Jesus, and they did that number where they speed up "What a Friend" almost to polka tempo, because, as they put it, "Gentiles like to worship God with slow music, but when Jews want to feel worshipful, they sing and dance to a fast beat."

Could you please think about that? We need more happy songs! It's hard to start a "housefire" by pouring on cold water, just sayin'.

Perhaps, sad to say, it is even that prophecy by Amos coming true, "All the songs in the temple will turn to wailing in that day."
