The guitar in the song playing staccato with no words is the one of the best guitar solos I’ve ever heard. I never knew until today that Buddy Holly played this song! Love him

This isn't Buddy Holly (singing.) It is Jerry Allison, the Crickets Drummer. Yes, the band is the Crickets, and the lead guitarist IS Buddy Holly. But Jerry Allison (as "Ivan") is singing the song. Please attribute the song correctly. (Yes, I love it. First heard it in 1958, when this version came out.)

I've heard so msny versions of this song, this one is the corniest. The best version is Iggy Pop.

Can't get enough of this. Just love Buddy's guitar style on this, very full and distinctive.
Would have been interesting to see how he would have done lead vocals but at least he is on backjng and guitar. Love it.

This is Jerry Allison not Buddy Holly. Jerry Allison was the drummer for Buddy Holly & the Crickets. The Crickets didn't break up, but Jerry Allison did record the song after Buddy Holly died.
