This is one of my favorite of the Methodist hymns. The singing and arrangement are beautiful, I just wish you hadn't left out two entire verses and replaced them with your made up "we cry holy" verses. This is disrespectful of the hymn's authors and of our Lord and Savior himself.

I grew up in the Evangelical United Brethren Chuirch, which later turned to The Methodist Church.  We sang Holy, Holy, Holy FIRST THING EVERY SUNDAY MORNING!!!  Now I'm trying to remember to sing it everyday!!!  God bless you all!

there is a story behind using words repeatedly in ancient Hebrew if a word was used once in a row it was normal however if you sai a word twice in a row much like Jesus said verily verily it stresses the importance and when God is called Holy Holy Holy it stresses absolute importance so it important to recognize God's Holiness is pure and absolute and flawless

The Spirit is the spirit of God, Romans 8:9, Eph. 4:4-5, there is only one spirit, God is a spirit not a man, John 4:24, his thrown is heaven, Matt. 5:34. If all power is Jesus's then the spirit has none nor the father, if it is as you think.not
