Completely agree with Joshua Tuazon. While worship is solace with the Lord Almighty, performances today I'm sorry to say are mere showmanship. It defeats the purpose of worship and giving glory and thanks to our Heavenly Father. The focus should Always be on the Lord Jesus. Our talents are mere instruments for His Glory. I stopped following and listening to Hillsong for the exact same reason as JT

I dont think this era will ever be beat. It was simple, straightforward, genuine, and Spirit-filled.

Old songs of hillsong, they are simple yet they are so powerful. Cause people can easily get the message of every songs, that it touches the hearts of many. Unlike their songs now, yes they are modern, but sometimes you can’t understand if it is still biblical..

And now they accept homosexuality in church...

its a lovely song..very nice to sing. ... but how many hillsong worshipers took to heart the message of "going to the ends of the earth" to share the gospel ... do they even bother to learn how to share their faith to a lost sinner. Every who professes faith in Christ was commanded by Jesus to tell people, those not yet born-again in Christ or still UNSAVED, so they wont get left behind when the rapture happens. THEY MUST KNOW about (1) God's Free Gift of Eternal Life (Romans 6:23 & Eph 2:8-9) , that (2) its free because As Sinners, WE CAN NOT PAY for the Penalty of our sins because God requires SINLESS Perfection if we intend to enter His Kingdom boasting of how good or righteous we are (Romans 3:10, 3:23, Matt 5:20,48, & James 2:10) and that (3) God is merciful but is also JUST , therefore He must punish sin - Deut 4:31, Exodus 34:7 , that (4) this dilemma of sin in us & its punishment, putting us, sinners, in harms way of God's judgment, was settled and paid for by no less than God's OWN BEGOTTEN SON - John 1:1-2 & 14 , 3:16 , Isaiah 53:1-12 ; and best of all, WE CAN RECEIVE this Gift of Eternal Life NOT BY OUR GOOD DEEDS nor anything that we could ever do - Isaiah 64:6, BUT (5) ONLY by TRUSTING CHRIST ALONE for our eternal life - John 3:15, Acts 4:12, NOT MERELY BELIEVING (James 2:19) but having FAITH in his FINISHED Work of redemption - Romans 10:9-10, John 19:30. ALL WHO TRUSTED JESUS CHRIST for the forgiveness of their sins were given the promise of a place in heaven with God - John 14:2.

I think the new songs are really good too. And inspired. For me it's the atmosphere that changed. Here, we can hear so many voices singing, and everyone is in the light. In the new clips, we see the main singer 90% of the time and the "public" is in the dark, looking more like a concert than worship. I prefer this atmosphere right here, but the quality of the song didn't decline in my opinion, the style changed for the better, some lyrics are still very powerful.

Hi. The atmosphere of hillsong didnt change at all its still the same. Maybe you just said that because all the clip youve watch in todays generation is in the concert . But if you watch other clip they do on their local church its still the same. This clip is not in concert but in their local church thats why the lighting is different. 😍

Just because the current songs don't suit your earbuds doesn't mean that they are not rooted in the word or that they are not powerful. Just don't listen to the current songs then. The God we worship is a God of love, not a God of cynicism or criticism. And as Danna has said, only God knows the heart of everyone. Who are you to judge whether or not the current Hillsong team members are godly or not? How are you any different from the self-righteous and hypocritical Pharisees? the only thing l want to say is that, l don't think the presence of God is in the disorder or concerts they present, the things of God must be diferent, a real worship is the one that reaches to the throne of the lord, is the one that minister your soul and for that, the singers and musicians must live a live very close to God beacause if is not like this, the prensence of God doesn't flow.
