I saw U2 do this kind of concert once in Ireland. The ambience created by that guitar is awesome. Hillsong really knows how to put on a concert. I mean look at that light show! What a production. They often send you home with free stuff to. And the fog machine!!!! I mean nothing says "Holy Spirit you are here", like a well tuned fog machine. I tell you what, the atmosphere and the emotionalism is second to none. If I didn't know that these guys were Christians, I would begin to wonder if they were manipulating me spiritually. But we all know that isn't the case. Right?. Rock on Hillsong... Rock on!

I think one of the reasons why people prefer old Hills songs is because of the simplicity of the lyrics. It was less poetic and more straightforward, the writers didn't beat around the bush; they said what they wanted to say right off the bat.
Not saying that the songs from now sucks, but I think the majority of the commenters here can attest with me: people prefer "straight forward" songs. An example of a "straightforward" song is Cody Carne's Nothing else, I encourage y'all to check it out.

My faith has become weaker and weaker for over 2 years now and I don't like where it's heading! I feel empty inside and i fear the future. The only things keeping me from completely giving up my faith are the worship songs. I'd be happy if someone prayed for me.
