Herman's Hermits - Little Miss Sorrow, Child Of Tomorrow Lyrics
Sing to me bring to me
Every sweet thing to me sunshine
Run away laugh and play
Talk away hours with me
Toy bells pretty tunes
Magic sound turn around
Spinning down onto me
Oh little miss sorrow
Oh child of tomorrow
Won't you follow me
Oh little miss sorrow
Oh child of tomorrow
Won't you follow me
You gave a new color to me
Lacquer and purple
And almost a deep shade of blue
Don't you cry breathe a sigh
Look and I'm just round your corner
Wait and then count to ten
Be my friend I'll be yours too
Oh little miss sorrow
Oh child of tomorrow
Won't you follow me
Oh little miss sorrow
Oh child of tomorrow
Won't you follow me
Oh little miss sorrow
Oh child of tomorrow
Won't you follow me

This song has a really beautiful harmony.
Ahh! This is just so gorgeous. I listen to it over and over again.
Apparently written by a Bruce Woodley, who was part of the Seekers.

Trying to interpret the words... kinda sounds like something a man would write for his daughter. To me that fits better than if he's writing it to his mate. What do you guys think?
Sing to me bring to me

Run away laugh and play
Talk away hours with me
Toy balloons pretty tunes
Sun and moon shine through my window
Magic sound turn around

Oh little miss sorrow
Child of tomorrow
Won't you follow me
Red color blue color
You gave a new color to me
Dapple(?) and purple
And almost a deep shade of blue

Who's Herman?
Always loved this beautiful tune! Just played it today on my banjo for one of my music groups! Kind of surprised and delighted that I remembered the melody since it's been quite a while since I've listened to it! Thanks for posting this beautiful tune!
You should upload that :)
This album was incredibly good. I once heard Peter say on a radio talk show about 30 years ago that he always admired the Beatles because they could release an album and every cut on it was good. The same applies to this album as it was excellent. It's not always easy to find, but it is out there on CD.
This whole album has always been one of my favorites including this one.
thank you!
What a beautiful 60s tune....sounds str8 out of a movie, even if it wasn't ! An obscure gem.
One of those hidden gems unknown except to those of us who actually listened to the complete album!
a grateful grapefruit :-)
