A beautiful, mystical, haunting, melancholy and potent track all the way through. I recently gave the albums a serious listen for the first time, and I was in total awe. Maria's vocals on the studio and live versions of this track have an instantly noticeable motherly tone to them, despite the lyrics, so because of that alone, the listener is pulled in much deeper than they'd expect to be, as something stirs within.

I have VARY close ancestors as in great grandparents and great-great grandparents from Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, Ireland, England and as far as I can trace back their ancestors are from the countries they were born in. In fact my last name is Old Norse. (Odviously its changed in the last 1500 years) Unfortunately I can't trace that far back. My dads family is from the same area in England, from my great-great grandfather, as far back as I can trace. They came to England with vikings from a country back then known as Frisia, a country that (really a people and culture) that has existed for over 2000 years probably longer but my research has gotten me that far. So to say that this music fills my soul with something that I can't really describe would only be a slight understatement. I've been longing to find a connection to my ancestors and this definitely is in the right direction.
