Heart - Tall, Dark Handsome Stranger Lyrics
I'm so tired of these men trying to
impress me with nothing
The same old routine and the smooth
fancy talking
Now I know and believe that I found
'Cos you're good and you're kind and
you care how I feel
I had a tall dark handsome stranger
I've had the devil in disguise
I've been attracted to the danger
But I was never satisfied
And I know what I like
And I like what I see in your eyes
You're so beautiful
I've been pushed I've been pulled
I've been put out and trod on
Just by taking my chances I finally
caught on
When I see in your eyes all the love
shining through
I'm so glad I held out for somebody
like you
I had a tall dark handsome stranger
I've had the devil in disguise
I've been attracted to the danger
But I was never satisfied
And I know what I like
And I like what I see in your eyes
Heaven must have sent you I know
You're so good to me
I feel good with you
I'd be such a fool to let you go
There's something about you
I can't live without you
I've had fast talking good looking men
at my door
Now I'm a wiser woman than I was before
I had a tall dark handsome stranger
I've had the devil in disguise
I've been attracted to the danger
But I was never satisfied
And I know what I like
And I like what I see in your eyes
I had a tall dark handsome stranger
I've had the devil in disguise
I've been attracted to the danger
But I was never satisfied
And I know what I like
And I like what I see in your eyes

Miss Ann Wilson.
SynphamyOfficial ¡! 🤜🏻
They didn't advertise it much but this is one of three Heart songs that featured the Tower of Power horns. "Even It Up" and "Tell It Like It Is" from the early 80s are the other two. It is also the only song Ann has ever sang that she took the octave down a bit live. The rest of their catalog she performed (and still performs) in the original key.
Gadamit! While I was watching this video there was a small AD about Bieber's album, WTF!?
Why dopes that bring flashbacks to that Florida concert where the opening act for the Monkees was Hendrix?
This song and Cruel Nights are my 2 favourite songs from the Brigade Album
+hillashfarm They say the Brigade Album contained the hardest rocking songs of All Heart's recordings when it was released in 1990, but all the songs sounds similar to their songs on "Heart" and "Bad Animals" LP's.
+felix121984 Brigade had a few really good hard rockers -- this one, Wild Child, and The Night; beyond that they used a lot more distorted guitar and the power ballads had more power, but it certainly was not as hard as their early albums or their later albums starting with Desire Walks On. I'd say this was their hardest rocking of their three "hair metal" albums, but definitely not of their entire catalog; not even close. I will say it was a much harder effort than Bad Animals which didn't have any good heavy songs other than the title cut.
If you took all three of their 80s/early 90s hair metal albums you could put together one really good album of hard rockers and two albums of power ballads. That is probably why these albums are so polarizing and divisive among Heart fans. Before and since this era there was no such thing as a Heart power ballad -- it was either acoustic folk ballads or heavy electric rockers.
love this one they dont do it anymore but oh when ann did this one back then it was hot
They still get me! True rockers!
That voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
