Harry Nilsson - I'll Take A Tango Lyrics
Deep down in my soul I hate rock and roll
And I don't like the way that them drummers beat on them drums
They always hum along, out of tune
But I can see Valentino and me when I hear a tango.
If you're talking 'bout loud man, it's more than I can stand
You can go down the hole with your sweet rock and roll
I'll take a tango.
I can see me dancing
Oh, I'll glide across the floor.
You know, down in my soul I hate rock and roll
And I don't like the way that them drummers beat on them drums
They always hum along, out of tune
Yeah, I can see Valentino and me when I hear a tango
Yeah, I can see Marlon Brando and me when I hear a tango.

Harry Nilsson I'll Take A Tango Comments
A certifiable rock-n-roll madman declaring he hates rock. What?! LOL
From the other side of the Atlantic, be assured this enormous talent was embraced and shan't be forgotten
Finally got all his albums available on vinyl. He is the American musician that we need to remember. His unpopularity proves the idiocy of our race as a whole.
Ditto. Never acknowledged or appreciated
@Errol Flynn Oh he was acknowledged, appreciated and beloved among musicians , singers and songwriters. - but widely forgotten in the public. You should check out the documentary, Who's Harry Nilsson and why is everyone talking about him? It is simply great and goes a step closer to regaining his rightful place in music history. I was particularly touched by Jimmy Webb's comments about our Harry.
