Hardline - Hot Cherie Lyrics
Been too long since the last rain
Still the stars sizzle hot in the sky
And there undressed in the shadows
Stands my sweet Cherie hiding from July
You kept me up... up all night
Hoping that I could make you mine
You're gettin' me hot, Cherie
And I want what you got all over me
Isn't my love strong enough
I'm ready to rock you long and rough
You're gettin' me hot, Cherie
And I want what you got all over me
I can't wait for October
When the breeze from the lake, she's blowing cold
Well maybe she'll need me for some shelter
When the campfire dies and the tall tales have been told
And all night
I've been workin' overtime
Hoping that I could make you mine
You're gettin' me hot, Cherie
And I want what you got all over me
Isn't my love strong enough
I'm ready to rock you long and rough
You're gettin' me hot, Cherie
And I want what you got all over me
I'm going crazy

Hardline Hot Cherie Comments
If I'm not mistaken, the drummer is singer Deen Castronova, who's new band Revolution Saints https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuSOLYJ3ne4 just released their 3rd album a short time ago. Awesome stuff, too!
One of the most underrated, though best hard rock songs ever!
This is one of my favorite songs ever. My name is Sherry so I just pretend they say my name. 😂

I heard this song today for the first time while at work and kept replaying it
90's were great for rock music ... it's such a shame that Nirvana overshadowed all the great bands/albums that came out in that decade.
isso sim é hard rock de verdade
This song rules, thank you johnny for bringing the eighties back to your fans, you rock then and now dude and this song proves it brother!!
New live released by Frontiers records. Tasty I'd say
Thank you HairNation for reintroducing me to Hardline and this song. Great song to listen to and even more fun to jam on guitar to. Wish these guys would have blown up!!!
Yaaaarrrrrrrg
Probably one of the best singers of this music's era that not many have heard of.
Awesome vocals!
Great f**kin' song!! I never heard it before until recently...now I can't get it out of my head!! Shame Hardline missed the party...it was epic!! Timing is a bitch, ain't it???
what in the world did Neil need with this? They didn't need him either... whatever floats the boat-
Never knew knew Neil was in this band. Wow, Santana, Journey, other bands and Hardline. What a career.
He started this band
Bad English, deserves to be mentioned.
God this whole album was INCREDIBLE!
Still here 2020 !!!!!!!!!
Still listening in 2020...thinking of naming my motorcyle Hot Cherie, lol
It's funny I always knew there was a band called hardline with Neal schon but I never check them out. In the other hand I always loved the Axel rudi pell music and of course I knew Johnny and his voice very well, and now I find out that actually Johnny was the singer of hardline. So now I'm for sure interested in this band. Thanks
fuck this is good !
Vaya temazo! El cantante es sobresaliente
Man, just listen to songs like this and most 80s hard rock, and you realize the melody of not only the vocal lines, but guitar chord progressions & solos of course as well. No other era blended the power of hard rock riffing with vocal melody and harmonizing, at least in my mind. Been playing guitar since high school in ‘84, and songs like this are why. Just hearing it touches my soul, every time.
I wish that MTV didn't stop playing melodic hard rock videos. They could have been played among alternative rock videos and I cant' see why did they wipe out classic rock from media back then. It was still very popular and people liked it. Hardline could have been a real success if they gave gotten more airplay on MTV.:(
That kid could sing!
best song of Hardline.. the 90's 👆🔥👍🎸Neal Schon on fire for the guitar riffs.. \m/
Rhythm is a better song IMO. It just jams all the way through. This is a great tune too.
Things guys were so underrated I feel like if they came out a few years earlier they would have been huge
Who is Cherie? Is she in this video? Which one ? lol
Its a danny spanos song that they recorded
Comes from one of my all time fav CD`s , original is done by Streetheart
Love it
That's a cover song
Originally written by Danny Spanos.
@Johnny Gioeli You guys knocked this song out of the ballpark. A cover song or not, that's your song and will forever be connected to you guys in Hardline. Awesome song Johnny!!! Awesome vocal range too!!! Thanks Johnny!!!! \m/ \m/
@rokbrigade This album was one of the best from that era, hands down. Right up there with Beggars n Thieves. Two totally under-recognized bands, with awesome songs.
Te amooooooo
Hello, Johnny
Did u ever c them live?
@Doug Winegar No, I didn't get to. There were all these bands and one me with 24 hours in a day.
@Monica1C3 lol so true. Who r ur faves
@Monica1C3 what hair bands r ur faves
@Doug Winegar That's a hard question. A lot of albums I'd listen to over and over again.
always dug this song , everything about is great and inspiring
its catchy as hell for sure
@Thinking Machine that it is i tried to write in the same vain
What a holy power voice. I'd born in the wrong era... Quién me ayuda a construir la máquina del tiempo para volver a los 80's?:V
The guitar melody sounds like Journey's......
Easily one of the best Songs to come out of this era well done.
Hell Yeah! Still here 2019 🤘❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Johnny. Will you sing at the next too many games convention?
I ask because I'm a fan of both hardline and crush 40.
I had forgotten about this song until I heard it the other day on Sirius. Great hair, great vocals, great guitar work.
😍😍😍
2:35 Steven Tyler was there for the filming of the video. That's pretty cool.
FM radio is dead.
*Now this has got to be one of the best songs ever that came from this amazingly talented band... Hardline rocks this solid.... just bought a new cd today... Love Hardline!!*
Have you listened to Revolution Saints? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuSOLYJ3ne4? They have the total 80s rock sound down pat.
This song is the tits! Love it!
Those hair..
great tune
Loved this the moment I heard. Double Eclipse is one of my favourite albums. Still play it regularly.
Damn shame this didnt come out a few years earlier. These boys have the look, and DEFINITELY have the sound. I adore this song!! Rock on Bitches! 🤘💕🎼🤘
Great band.
always and forever on air of Rock Melodic Radio!!!!
Underrated band had some great songs
❤️❤️❤️😀
That's the best!forever!that is greatest sound!and vocal!
Very nice, great song and fun too
Wow gioeli you still got it these days of the today
I wish you much luck in the future
You are my favorite singer of rock
You rock dude ✌😎🤘💚💚💚💎💎💎💎💎💎💎🎶🎸
Johnny Gioel very good song . A great loud voice . And it looks very good, a typical rock look long hair, jeans and cool music
Johnny was the Chris Cornell of hair metal.
Chris Cornell was the Chris Cornell of every era. No comparison
I didn't know there was a video for this!
I love the music of hardline, and I love sitting with my headphones on a hearing the amazing vocals of Johnny. I have my boyfriend to thank for showing me this amazing band
1 of my favorite albums. still listen to it today. shame it was released when it was. had it gotten any real backing from the label, sky's the limit. Takin me down and ill be there my 2 favorites. when i have a few too many in the bar and play them. i do my best johhny gioeli impression. the ladies love haha!!! keep rocking bro!!
Great!!!
If only they had existed about 5 years earlier. Well, maybe more classic rock snobs fed up with modern "music" will find Hardline...or just bring over all the Crush 40 fans...
Anyone know what the bassist and drummers names are? Johnny and Joey rock!!!!! 🤘🤘
Does anyone know when and where they are going to perform in 2019? I want to buy tickets to go and memorabilia while I'm there.
In this video (posted here)the bass player is Todd Jensen and the drummer is Deen Castronovo.
Where was this awesome, energetic and fun video of Hot Cherie filmed? Genius lyrics in this!!!! I could swear that is Neal Schon and a Gibson Les Paul guitar in this as well!!! EPIC song and instrumentals!!!!!🤘🤘💜💙😍
Love this song!!!!
Wow! 👍
why didn't I hear that before!
Take me back in time! ❤
I am maybe late, but man! Watching this video brings me back when I was 15! Hehe. I did checked out a couple of Hardline songs, and I should check out more. You look handsome in this video, Johnny. :D
92 hardline inspired me to grow my hair
Me too lml
So now you have a beard?
I love it❤
One of the best songs, albums, bands of all time!!!!!
An amazing song now as it was back then.
I just love Johnny with long hair 😂 oww, I wish radio stations in Panama knew this song and this awesome band!
OMG THIS IS FUCKING BETTER THAN THE OTHER
LEGENDARY
He's da bomb.com!
One of the anthems of the melodic rock era,it's just a pity radio stations here in ireland don't know good music when they hear it,
I can agree with this. All I've been hearing on the radio is auto tuned singers with an electric piano and drum beat in the background (sometimes an acoustic guitar and a celebrity).
So I don't bother listening to the radio or listening to what my friends think "brilliantly made music" is and listen to some Crush 40 and Hardline instead!
Easily my favorite Hardline song, and the video is great and fun as well, it's a shame that if this had came out roughly five years earlier Hardline would've probably been a household name
