Hank Williams Jr. - Stoned At The Jukebox Lyrics
Just as long as I can keep a lot a friends around me,
Oh, it helps to keep a worried mind occupied.
I do alright till dark of night surrounds me,
Then I think of her and then I cry.
Playin' I can't help it if I'm still in love with you.
Cause that's the kind of songs it takes to get all this ole hurtin' out,
Lord, I love that hurtin' music, cause I am hurtin', too.
Lord knows, I been runnin' up and down this ol' interstate 65,
I loved in Nashville, Tennessee high falutin' woman I tried,
Now I'm busted stone flat down in Springhill.
I got nothin' but time and the bottles to kill,
Well, I never thought I could ever feel like that.

Look. I was a pusher to. When you look into the eyes of a starving child you'll do whatever it takes
@robert branham Still drugs.
This version is actually a remake of the song from the 1976 "Hank Williams, Jr. and Friends" album. It's a great remake (no one can do a remake as well as Bocephus), but the old version had more of an old country feel to it.
Wow, didn't know that until now. Went and found the old one-- it is great and this one is great too! The old one sounds like some of the beautiful old music my great-grandparents' generation listened to-- pre-outlaw stuff like Ray Price and similar. The new one has that prime country twang. Both are incredibly beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
