Hank Williams Jr. - Looking At The Rain Lyrics

Looking at the rain feelin' the pain of love lost runnin' through my brain

Looking at the wind, watching it spin the leafs along the street, you win
Waiting for a line to fall, telling you it's all a big mistake
Looking at a face so out of place inside that picture frame of lace

Looking at the walls, wishing you'd call and tell me you're OK, that's all
Wishing this was all a dream, and I'd find you sleeping when I wake
Looking at the dreams so ill at ease from sleep that will not come, that's me

Looking at the dawn knowing it's wrong, still thinking of your love that's gone
Wishing this was all a dream, that I'd find you sleeping when I wake
Looking at the rain feelin' the pain of love lost runnin' through my brain

Looking at the wind, watching it spin the leafs along the street, you win
Waiting for a line to fall, telling you it's all a big mistake
But the words won't come and I know I'd feel the same looking at the rain

Hank Williams Jr. Looking At The Rain Comments
  1. M.... J....

Absolute beauty of a song. I was having problems with my woman last winter and I recall driving through a Christmas light display at the local county fairgrounds late at night when no one was there in my 79 Lincoln and just parking and n the middle and listening to this. Powerful stuff.

If I ever met him and he asked to play a song I would request looking at the rain just him and his guitar that's what I'm talkin about. Rates right up there with Merle Haggard Sing Me Back Home

  3. E.... F....

"New South" and "Hank Williams, Jr and Friends" are probably my 2 favorite Hank, Jr albums.

Ed Ford I agree these damn Millennials these days don't know what the hell they're listening to
