Hank Williams Jr. - Kiss Mother Nature Goodbye Lyrics

The oil tankers poisoned the oceans bulldozers raviged the land
We've taken from sweet mother nature just about all she can stand
She just keeps holdin' our hand

There's a big tractor loose in the forest ripping the trees from the earth
Those redwoods are falling to progress but a few roots still grip the earth
How much is that timber worth

Well it's time to start askin' some questions like how long can we hold our breath
The smoke from those big city factory is chokin' this country to death
I don't claim to have all the answers but how long can the truth be denied
If we don't get our act together start lookin' for ways to survive
We can kiss mother nature goodbye

Now there's still some fish in the river and young eagles learning to fly
The hope of the next generation is soaring up there in the sky
But I'm afraid I can read his mind

Time to start askin' some questions like how long can we hold our breath...

Hank Williams Jr. Kiss Mother Nature Goodbye Comments
  1. J.... D....

This moron is a radical rightwing extremist - aka "modern" Republican. He makes unhinged robo-calls for the party that is working hard to extinctify all life earth. My own theory is that his father's unfortunate drug use to combat chronic pain (I love Sr.) resulted in serious brain damage to "Junior". Cognitive dissonance on steroids. What an idiot.

And that,s the truth my friends

  5. D.... M....

Hank has always tried to stand for his beliefs an that's what makes him great

He is not asking to not cut trees.  If you need the heat only cut the fallen or standing dead trees folks.   Let the live ones live.

Yep, I'm not a tree hugger, or maybe I am, they are responsible for our survival, they turn CO2 to O2, perhaps CO2 levels are rising because trees are being plowed up everywhere to expand cities. Expansion that isn't necessary, because they abandon one lot to make another, e3vidently it's cheaper to make farmland into business buildings than recycling ones that are abandoned! I worked in excavating BTW, we plow em up and set em on fire with gallons of diesel, then get emission tests on cars!
