Hackett, Steve - Leaving Lyrics
Endless fog and rain
Grounded 'plane
There an unshaved man
Was exchanged
They led me here to die
You can telephone from here
When you wish
Time to run away from here
Won't be missed at all
Turn the snow to red
Someone fled
Tell the viewers
Were you starved or fed?
Running wild, a hunted deer
Her eyes were filled with fear
People dream in colour here
So they said
Shine your shoes from ear to ear
Right or left the west

Hackett, Steve Leaving Comments
I've been listening to this song for over 30 years. The way every note, every detail, & every effect is crafted & created still beautifully haunts my ear no less to this day.....
Yes, we are the west!, kiddo!
Bold an mystic as a fall breeze that goes right through you. I can feel the wind.
words, there, are wisdom. Cool statement!
Lead vocal by Pete Hicks with additional vocals by Steve Hackett & Dik Cadbury.

One of my favorite albums of Steve's !
purchased this the other week on 2nd hand vinyl and completes my 70ies and early 80ies hackett lp collection!.the cover was slightly beat and the record had no inner sleeve!the vinyl was in mint condition, though!
i took care of shaping this baby up!
@cosmicdrifter287 Congrats on your find... I have vinyl copies all of Steve's solo albums up to about 1997 and mine are in great condition except for my American gatefold sleeve copy of Voyage Of The Acolyte which has a horrible little scratch which buggers up Star Of Sirius with a clicking that drives me crazy - I have to skip that track it's so bad... Glad you still cherish your vinyl though - good luck.
hey,i"ve got a weak spot for this kind of information.sounds like a great collection to me.
cheers,enoseverything.
Haven't listened to any Steve Hackett for years, as it's all on vinyl. Still love it as much as I ever did. Beautiful and brilliant!
