I love this song but in all realness we are torturing animals and God said not to, Christians aren't Prov 31:8-9 and God's calling I'm calling but where is God's people? They think animals were made for torture which is why animal torture consumption has burned the Earth's lungs. Torturing animals is a sin and "ppl of God" agree unless it comes to consumerism. Where is God is what pagans ask.

my dad died when I was 9 years old to suicide and we played this song at his funeral now I'm 12 and I still miss him like I cant get over him.

When I hear this song I have trouble believing that this can be true for me right now. However, it does remind me of how God has worked in my life and turned my horrible circumstances into a miracle. I was adopted at the age of four into a family that after a few years became violent and abusive. My home life affected every corner of my life. My education was horrible; I was making all Fs. I was very introverted and had trouble talking to people. My family stopped going to church. Some nights I remember praying and crying out to God for help. Sometimes these cries were of frustration and anger. After a while I just stopped crying and I gave up on God. Despite that though he never gave up on me. Finally, I was fifteen years old and DCS showed up at my house while I was at school. They took me and my siblings away. I was taken to a knew home. My life was flipped around but I was mad at God because of how everything was so confusing to me and my family felt like it was being torn apart. Again, despite my anger towards him God didn't give up on me. I soon realized that he put amazing people into my life. He gave me kind supportive parents and a better school. He also gave me a new church that my family goes to every week. Soon I started making straight As. My foster parents adopted me when I was sixteen. The people God put into my life gradually showed me what God is really like. I used to blame Him for all that happened to me but my parents and youth helped me understand how false that is. Here I am now and I am in college and my family is healing. I was angry with God so much for so long through my life and he still never gave up on me and it didn't stop Him from doing what he want to do in my life. So when I here "all around hope is springing up from the ole ground..." I get teary eyed because God has done that for me even though my attitude and my heart was in the wrong place. Even though I am still struggle with a lot if I remember what He did then I can hope for what he will do.

Can anybody help me I was praying 15 minutes ago and I was playing this song while I pray and I was thanking the lord for the retreat I had with my youth group that we had attended and when I was thanking him out of nowhere I stared to tear up/cry does anybody know why this happens

Only you and God know for sure. But I have had a similar experience myself. Sometimes in times of prayer God responds by filling you with His Spirit and tears of joy can result. I know it sounds like a oxymoron but tears of joy are a real. Especially at times of great blessing. Continue to draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. James 4:8

I’ve been depressed, I’ve been suicidal, I’ve been dumped by a woman I thought I was gonna marry, I’ve been jobless for months, I’ve had bad health issues with my bladder, I’ve had all my money stolen out of my bank account, I’ve had to work terrible jobs just to get by, I am adopted and had to work through all the issues that come with that, I’ve been bullied in school, I’ve cut myself, I’ve used alcohol to make the pain go away, ive been arrested, I’ve cursed the name of God in my most dire moments BUT

God still loved and continues to love me. He shows me this by giving me what I need and not just what I want. It is hard but he is jehovah jireh the “lord my provider”

Even despite all of the hard things I’ve been through, God has made my life a beautiful example of what it means to persevere in Him and what it means for God to provide. And if he did it for me, I know he can do it for you too.

Hey. Guys, I know you love this song, but I just found out that Michael Gungor is an atheist, no longer a Christian. It broke my heart. He said he never found the God he wanted to love because the world is the way it is. This is the video where Michael talks about how he couldn't see God, so he walked away.

This song makes me cry every time, because no matter where we have been, or the pain, God is always at work, recreating the old, making things new again. He truly makes beautiful things out of us when we let him in, and we decide to give our lives over to him. Thank you Jesus for what you did on the cross.
