Guess Who, The - Samantha's Living Room Lyrics

The family's in the front room cheering
Old dad's in the corner snoring
Mother's helping baby walk
And Auntie Jean is yawning
In Samantha's living room

Granddad's at the punchbowl drinking cordial
While grandma sees the children play
Blindman's bluff and chess, and the music plays
All in all it's time for fun
In Samantha's living room
In Samantha's living room, in the year 1921

In Samantha's living room
In Samantha's living room
In Samantha's living room, in the year 1981

    Again a Donnie MCDougall gem.

This be the song that turned me onto The Guess Who.

  3. C.... H....

    I love this f**kin` song!

  4. C.... H....

    Hauntingly beautiful.

  5. W.... S....

Again, it should have been a big hit. Great song and great album!

No wonder the Guess Who 5 part harmony was so fantastic and their drummer Peterson, probably the best pop rock drummer in the world sang too. Plus having the best pop rock lead local in the world with Burton Cummings and musically and their song writing ability, is hard to beat!

One of the bands most interesting album covers and package contents . So much so it distracted from the fact this was the Guess Who when the album was on shelf inventory in record stores and or departments ( pre-box ) stores .For me it was one of their best .

  8. O.... G....

I remember driving around listening to this on 8 track in my 68 firebird in the spring of 1973!
