Met Pat when he sang the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers baseball game. He was nervous. Did a great job. He came to radio station I was working after a concert. Gave autographs to my son and friends. Great guy.

i have always loved this song and Pat Green. He really loves his fans and spends a lot of time after his concerts talking with them. Such a great guy!

My daughter hates this song. In a good way though. She said it reminds her of me. I love It!

He's a native Texan isn't he? I haven't heard anything beyond this and "Wave on Wave," despite my Dad having the CD. Now it's strange but hearing this, a song my Dad loved, makes me think of him. I don't know that I've listened to it since back then. Crazy.

Slack O'Lantern keep listening. Not just to Pat but all the Texas red dirt country. So much better than the pop country.

He is from waco his dad fired him from the family buisness to make him follow his dream. He now lives in fort worth and is very active in the community.

@ Slack Yes, Pat is awesome. There's a genre of music down here in Texas known as "Red Dirt". He'd be part of that. A search of google ought to turn up some delsiousness for You. I'll recommend a few (in no particular order): Lucinda Williams, Kelly Willis, Charlie Robison, Gary P. Nunn, Old Crow Medicine Show (not really red dirt but tasty all the same)... I have a disc a friend made me 15 years ago and I must have played that thing 1000 times (no kidding). Everything on it is awesome. It got me going on Red Dirt. Check out Roger Creager "Having fun all wrong". Great tune. Great lyric. Peace.

I really like this song. It is easy to listen to, a joy to the soul and lyrically poetic. I was raised on "Traditional country", grew into a man with Willie, Waylon and the boys of "Progressive Country": and now my daughter is leading me through the joys of "Red Dirt Country". Not bad journey for a music lover and old rock-n-roller.
