In my personal opinion NIMROD was their last really good album. Revolution radio did surprise me though.

Born in 1985 I was introduced to rock at a young age. I heard dookie in Kmart when I was 8 one of those display TVs with buttons to select different movie trailers and music videos.

I close my eyes and I find myself in my room in that NY apartment, my clothes smelling like weed, back in 1995....

This was the first green day album a friend gave me. It had just come out and he was the only person I knew that even heard of them. Then got 1039/slappy hours and loved it. When they played at the old Soma downtown, I'd never seen so many girls at a punk show. I didn't know that many other people liked green day. Then it happened, literally overnight. Dookie was a great album, but when Longview was played on MTV, you just knew this secret that very few knew about wasn't going to be a secret much longer. I hate that they got so popular, but totally understand it and don't blame them or anyone who liked them after Dookie came out.

Underrated hit... One of my favorites...

It's true they met in the great City where she is from, Minneapolis. I've ran into them Electric Fetus,Cheapo, Pizza Luce and other stores around Uptown and Downtown MLPS. Really awesome and down to earth people.

I've known about Green Day most of my life koz they were always my cousins' favourite band but I only started listening to them about 4 years ago, I feel like I missed out so much, all the Green Day shows I coulda gone to.. I particularly regret not going to Bullet in a Bible.
