Song in amazing! RIff is very catchy, powerful groove, amazing voice as always... but i can't reconize them anymore. The way is produced sound like shitty Arcade Fire. What did happen? Where's the old fashion prod and the wall of guitars? So disappointed. By they way, great song.

Definitely underrated - it’s a shame that truly great bands like this just get missed these days

they re not doing anything new, this is living in the past. I like this but I wouldn't consider paying homage to the 70's something truly great. The true great bands are making waves and pushing the genre that they are in.

Fucking awesome! I think this band is up there with the best I’ve ever heard. They just make consistently great music. Never made a bad album or track for that matter. Can not wait for the new one to come out - it will be epic.

The mixing is a bit off or is it just me? The guitars are so loud the drums just disappeared.
Regardless, this is awesome. Joakim sounds better than ever, guitars fit perfectly. So glad to see you back, much respect from Brazil!

Due to the dist on the supplemental guitar, it’s in a similar frequency as the drum’s cymbals, which gets drowned a bit, especially in low quality headphones, or those that lack an open cup.

On spotify with an asus xonar soundcard and a high-quality dual chamber set of headphone speakers, it sounds quite clear and i can distinguish the individual chords. As for the bass, i agree that it’s perhaps a little bit overpowering.

Also, am i seriously the only one who like their old stuff the most? Blue soul, satans finest, slow motion countdown, the siren, hisingen blues, too much is not enough, from a hole in the wall and the apple and the tree marks my favourites.

+skarskar skarner I don't think so, my favourite record is Lights Out, then Hisingen Blues > Graveyard > Peace > Innocence and Decadence (the first 3 are almost a tie for me. It is hard to decide which one I like the most. I choose Lights out because it has the best intro of all records and Slowmotion Countdown is their masterpiece, in my humble opinion). But Peace is sure an improvement from the last record. Good to see they are alive and well.

Being a guitarist, i find myself enjoying the less chaotic songs a lot more, since you can really hear all the little things while not overplaying the solo's. I like the distorted and heavy sound of their new album too, but it's a little more generic i suppose. Their old songs have so much personality that while they might not be "radio friendly" they're certainly more interesting, especially from a musical perspective, than some kick-ass vocals and a backing set of chords with small variations for god knows how long.

It's probably easier to pull off this type of song live tho, as band coordination seems to have been a problem on some concerts. In fact, if you have some chemistry, you just throttle back and improvise when doing live with a heavily structured song like this because no matter what, it's consistent. Just better hope the singer doesn't lose his voice and you're golden.

Ideally, i'd like graveyard to go in a similar direction to pink floyd (in terms of ingenuity and pitch-perfect guitar work as well as live shows, not so much synth harmony and cold-war remnant politics), while still keeping this type of music around, and with their old "vintage" vibe, with a good measure of variety in their songs, as they've done in the past. It might not appeal to the bigger heavy metal-esque audience, but judging by the success of songs like too much isn't enough and slow motion countdown, there is certainly an audience for that as well.

Yea, I'm a fan of their ballads, mainly. But the fact that they can do both, heavyer songs and slow ballads (both with an immense quality), is one of their great attributes from my point of view.

Assuming you understand that the modern definition of ballads is in essence a song about love, often in a slow tempo, i'll have to say, some of their lines are pretty cheezy. ^^

Then again, at least they're reasonably interesting, as opposed to the literal garbage that is pop-culture songwriting nowadays.
