I can remember me & my dad riding on some old country back roads here in Mobile Alabama and listening to Vern Gosdin when I was 14 years old.
Vern Gosdin & Gene Watson are the only singers that have ever made my dad cry...now that my dad has been gone for 2 years & I'm now 49...i totally understand because I still drive these old country back roads now here in Mobile Alabama and I cry now when I listen to the old classic 70s and 80s real country music I grew up on and dearly love...
Sometimes I feel like if I look in the passenger seat I'll see him sitting there CRYING again.

Randy Miller Vern Godson is REAL COUNTRY!! He can really sing and talk country. You know when an COUNTRY ARTIST can make you cry with the songs he sings HE/SHE IS SOLID GOLD COUNTRY. Todays generation of " Country singers don't even come close to it. They have crazy names for their band and sibger and videos of half naked women just to be able to sell their music except a very select few. Ex:: Ben and Noel Haggard whose father was Merle Haggard and that young country singer and his wife who sibg TENNESSEE WHISKEY. Is it Chris Stapleton?? !!

I know exactly what you are saying man my dad only got upset at real music like this he past 7 months ago of cancer but I’m so glad i was brought up listening to this kind of music I feel like I can feel my dad next to me too when I’m playing these while cruising around

sometimes I feel like I let God down when I got divorced. she left me for another man though. It still hurt when it happened and when this song came on it really didn't help things either.

Vern maybe be gone but his music will live on forever. we were blessed with Vern and his wonderful voice.
