She recorded her version for her 1986 album "The Power Of Gloria Gaynor", on the Stylus label. https://www.discogs.com/composition/81e063e1-62a5-4289-84c2-a1a0375fcc4b-The-Heat-Is-On. Again I reiterate the song was written by Faltermeyer and Keith Forsey for the film. I'd be happy to see where you got your dates from.
