Almost sounds like something Campbell would have written. The best compliment a song writer can get. They share part of the same spirit.

Glen Campbell could really sing anything, and kept his talent polished and shining right up until the end. Thank you for all the wonderful songs from my childhood and teens, and for sharing your ending with us. RIP.

Having known Campbell mostly by his classic hits, such as "Wichita Lineman" I spent yesterday listening to his work - marveling at what an astoundingly talented and versatile performer he was. An enormous range, from covers such as these to his guitar work with Roy Clark to "Amazing Grace" with bagpipes, yet! A consummate musician, even when insidious ravages of Alzheimers began surfacing (Ghost on the Canvas). RIP, Glen Campbell and thank you for sharing your gift as long as you could.

When I was a kid I was a big fan of Glen Campbell. Still am. When I was a young adult Green Day was & still is one of my favorite bands. Given the fact that he was in the early stages of Alzheimer's when he did this cover, and given his recent departure from this Mortal coil, it makes this song so much more profound.

Great talent known for his hit songs one right after another. His guitar playing was excellent too. He passed away today August 8th 2017, at 81 years old. For the young people seeing this post this guy in his day was a big time talent.

He was always spot on perfect. Always. What a great talent and what a painful loss now that he's gone. His voice will always be with those of us who know his music.

Thanks for many times of my life. We will see you on the other side.

always loved his music. went to a concert of his a couple of years ago, that man is a great showman and his children are so talented. Hope his remaining moments are full of great memories

GC can sing anything and make it sound excellent. Green Day should be proud.

obviously there's a reason why G.C. was a member of The Wrecking Crew. ( If you don't know, The Wrecking Crew was a group of studio musicians who cut demos of songs so other famous artists could decided if they wanted to do a version of the song. Glen was in The Wrecking Crew because he could sound like almost anybody and hear a song once and be able to play it perfectly on the guitar. )

I'm a fan of both Glen Campbell and Green Day - this isn't the first time I've listened to this version but today it gave me goose bumps. Been listening to lots of Glen the last few days whilst work on college assignments and I count my blessings that I as lucky enough to see him perform in Nottingham UK on his last visit there.
