"Fool" instead of "boy" and "each other" instead of "your love"

This song in particular means so much to me, cause it seems to perfectly reflect the mindset of someone with Dissociative Disorder (or at least my experience). A guy yells, internally, at himself for the majority of the song, begging for this disconnect to end, trying to somehow drag himself out and wake up. He's come to hate himself, at least partially, for this and is tired of the fear and the loneliness. Then there's the lines like "Please come home again, let me show you how "we're" good enough for your love" where the guy is trying to speak to his partner, trying to somehow connect to them as he used to; he no longer feels like one, but he wants his partner to know that he's still there and he's still trying and he still cares, even if it's so much more difficult now. I love this song so much, but I can't help crying most of the time when I hear it
