His son Bubba called him up and told his dad think I wrote my first good song George Strait bubbas dad asked him to sing some and after hearing it he told his son Bubba think your on to something. Thanks to Bubbas amazing song writing skills and George Strait amazing voice we have this great song. I have the same birthday as George Strait May/18.

Conflicting stories. Another story says he headed north and fathered 3 kids and died of natural causes. Sometimes I wish the old west was more clear cut, but I guess that would remove some of the mystique.

On "Tales of the Old West" David Carradine said Dave tried to ambush Wyatt Earp and they shot it out with shotguns. Dave got off the first shot, but not a single shot his Earp, but did shoot holes in his coat and trousers, Earp then shot Dave and killed him, another lucky break for Earp. And wasn't known as "Arkansas" Dave Rudabaugh. He was known as "Dirty" Dave. He shot three people and went right back into the saloon, got shot, and they cut his head off
