George Harrison - P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night) Lyrics
Gazed at the ceiling from below
A splendid Michelangelo
Filled my heart with delight
Last Saturday night
Climbed every step inside St. Peter's Dome
Claustrophobic and ex-Catholic
Last Saturday night
Now how come nobody really noticed
Puff of white smoke knocked me out
The truth is hiding, lurking, banking
Things they do at night
It's quite suspicious to say the least
One Our Father, three Hail Marys
Each Saturday night
(Let's hear it. Call him on ??.
Play a chord, Dhani.)
I wish somebody would tell me
That it's only a show
I'll confess, own up, let's face it
In my concrete tuxedo
It's quite suspicious to say the least
While mentioning it to my priest
One Our Father, three Hail Marys
Each Saturday night
(Hello Father, Father, stick a little right upon with us. It'll be alright.)
One Our Father, three Hail Marys
Each Saturday night
One Our Father, three Hail Marys
Each Saturday night

George Harrison P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night) Comments
What a great tune especially for anyone raised Catholic. Ex-Catholic. Yep. Thanks George. <3
This sounds like Clapton's song "Something Special" on Another Ticket!!
One of the best songs on this fine album.
George has had a couple digs at the Catholic Church (“The Pope owns 51% of General Motors” from Awaiting On You All) and as a Catholic myself, I love them all, because they are not meant to do harm, he just wanted to make music and I can’t hate Hume for that
Search p2 Vatican to find out the details, sick almost Illuminati style sht George was talkin about, on his way out in his concrete tuxedo
P2 is the Masonic lodge that owns the Catholic Church thanks to laundering dope and child trafficking money through the Vatican Bank. In case you were wondering.
I was wondering. Thank you. Good for George for exposing them.

Saturday Night - The Beatles (Everyday Chemistry)
George..love you..miss you...
What is that George is saying at 1:14? This record is a Harrison masterpiece...
I don't know, but I love how he jokes to his son and tells him: Play a chord, Dhani :D
What is p2? Is there a part 1?
This song should have been a hit! So sad it hasnt gotten its proper exposure and attention:(
GREAT HARRISON!!!!!
I think the Church of England ruined George's spiritual outlook when he was younger. This is why he turned to Eastern religion. Unfortunately, there's no salvation in Eastern religion. We all are in the same boat; we are all sinners because we inherited it from Adam and Eve, and that's the simple truth. But the remedy for that is just as simple. God sent His Son to come and live a prefect life, give His perfect life as a ransom, take all of the guilt and punishment for our sinful nature, which was bestowed upon us by Adam and Eve, offer Himself up on a cross to be crucified, after having been beaten beyond recognition, and then three days after His burial, rise from the dead, conquering sin and death, so that all we have to do is ask God the Father to forgive us of our sins, thank Him for sending His Son to be our Savior, and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If you have a problem with this, than I have to ask you one question: What did Jesus personally do to you to make you hate Him so much? The answer is not, "It's not Jesus I have a problem with, it's His people." If that is your answer, then you are looking in the wrong direction. You are looking horizontally when you should be looking vertically. Don't get me wrong; Jesus said, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to them by whom those offenses come!" If a Christian has offended you to the point that you've made the choice to turn from Jesus, then He will deal with that person when the time comes. But, know this, that still does not excuse you from your decision to turn from Christ. We are all responsible for our decision as to what we do with the question of Jesus Christ; to accept His salvation, or to turn and walk away from it. No one but you can answer that question for yourself, and no one else is responsible for your answer but you. George mentions "The Lord" in a lot of his songs, but he isn't referencing Jesus Christ; he's referencing "Hare Krishna", who I would ascertain is a counterfeit Christ. If Krishna was a real person, then I would have to say that Krishna is dead and buried somewhere, and his death did not count toward man's redemption. This is what separates the Christian faith from all other faiths. We know in whom we have put our trust, and are willing to give our lives for that belief and trust. Are you willing to say that about who you believe in? Even if it's just yourself? Think about it; your eternity depends on it.
"I wish somebody would tell me
That it's only a show
I'll confess, own up, let's face it
In my concrete tuxedo"
<3
Btw, George was a catholic, not an anglican.
He was Catholic, idiot.
Oh, just fuck off!
Kirsten Dieker I agree
I feel like they mightve moved the pitch of his voice up a bit? It sounds a littleeee bit high. And ik he was ill at this time but idk, it sounds different than the other performances on the album
I've noticed.
His voice tho
HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN -----------------------
========================HERE IS HOW YOU CAN RECEIVE CHRIST : 1....... Admit your need. ( I am a sinner ) 2.......Be willing to turn from your sins. ( repent ) 3.......Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave .... 4.......PRAY A PRAYER LIKE THIS : Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' Name, Amen!.============
Lol, only person that can forgive you is yourself. Muppet :P
Amen, Ron.
I love george a great beatle
Track two (P2 Vatican Blues) is a copy of "Something Special" of Eric Clapton.
During a 1989 interview George said that he did a blues about Vatican. Mayne he was talking about this one
George had a great sense of humor as well as a very Spiritual side. I always just try to enjoy the music and leave judgment at the door. George was a very talented and beautiful human being. I miss him very much. There will never be another....
Tonya Johnson
k
I hope for him that he'll never return here, but yeah, he's the One (quiet One, yes).
Tonya Johnson , yep, best thing is to leave judgement at the door with them and ALL humanity. George was raised a Catholic, as was Paul.
George passed 13 years ago today. He is missed, and loved, Hare Krishna George, God Bless. 💔
Wicked guitar playing, George, wicked!
Actually, it's about the Vatican's ties with Propaganda Due.
It is a cross,Jesus is the only way 2 heaven, everyone knows that ,all u have 2 do is believe in him.
Is that a Cross I see below his signature?
se te extraña Harrison
been listening to this album for ten years now and each song is still as incredible as the first play. the best there was, there best there is and the best there ever will be
This is an an attack on Confession. What a pity. Still a great song though.
One Our Father, 3 Hail Murrays.
My best friend died recently. We both loved George Harrison.
MRGTi5 I think your comment was directed at Ishi680.She,He It seems to have a problem with English thingy!
Maybe and you must be Catholic lol.
Are you....retarded? You have trouble doing the speaking English thingy?
Mock mock who's there...no one lol.
People tend to criticize others when they themselves too are guilty of the corrupt things in this world. So many people now feel free to mock up Christianity on public as if they themselves have done nothing wrong. If you don't believe in heaven at least don't mock up those who do.
At least he became a millionaire without putting the fear of God in people like the Vatican Fucking church.Say two hail Mary's and you go to heaven bullshit. What else is in the catacombs of the vatican ChUrCh.Maybe the body of Christ lol.Wouldn't that screw up the Catholic religion.Peace.
I very much doubt this is George's last album.
I think he's referencing tongue-in-cheek about how the Vatican Bank is the most corrupt bank in the world ("Truth is hiding...lurking...banking, things they do at night.")
He shouldn't critisize the Pope when he himself was a milloinare and living in a mansion. So much for spiritual wealth
The point was you could have a f*** (lust) , get drunk, beat the wife every Saturday night and get pardoned off the local priest the next day as long as you put something in the collection box. He has hit the nail on the head
That's cute.
RIP Dear George. I miss you
Killer song
I took George as my confirmation name in 1964
after this character
