This is possibly the most detailed song ever. I have a clear picture in my head. Only the best songs can create a unique picture in someones mind. I have all senses. Smell, taste sight, hearing in my head when i listen to this song. It is a perfect melody of tragedy happiness and peace. It is truly a masterpiece.

This is the kind of song that you don't just hear. You feel it and you taste it and you smell it and maybe even see it. It brings forth memories of darkness and it's pain but it's peace. There is such a connection I feel to this work of art and though I don't know George Barnett's meaning behind it I know what it means to me and I can't thank him enough for it.

I feel like that too, and I quite often need to fight the urge of closing my eyes when I listen to it while driving, lol! It's so perfect it can be that dangerous, hahaha!

I keep thinking why he didn't make an official video for this amazing song yet... This is what I call perfection and I'm sure 53 people are uterlly deaf, cause they don't know what a quality music is made of.

I know exactly why there is no video. It's because there is no set meaning. It's supposed to mean whatever it means in your mind. Which makes it truly unique.

+AJ Brown Budapest got TONS of radio airplay last year here in America. Also, I've heard Blame It on Me several times on the radio. And George toured in the US most of 2015. I saw him live 3 times in Washington D.C. :)
I will agree, most of America's pop/mainstream music sucks, but some of it is good. If Budapest hadn't gotten so big over here I never would've found George, and neither would most of his US fans.

I hadn't heard this song before as it's not on his Wanted on Voyage album but when i first heard this song, I literally fell in love with it. Love you George!

Perfection IS his songs, inspiration in every sentence, write these and never stop writing, sing and never stop singing. Every song I hear of his gets more and more inspirational and every time I hear it, it stays as great as it was when new.

Because of the name I expected this song to be a darker, more intense song like Did You Hear the Rain..but when it started I just kind of smiled to myself at how gentle it was..this guy writes some beautiful stuff..

Listen to the lyrics, it sounds pretty dark to me, like a close loved one has passed away and hes trying to get himself together again

I also expected did you hear the rain to be a real soft and happy song, when it is the complete opposite. I love how he sometimes completely contrasts the melody with the title or lyrics - the dark lyrics with the soft melody makes this song so powerful in my opinion

I almost never comment, but I found this AMAZING artist because his "Over the Creek" on and I've listened to all his music and Budapest, Barcelona, Over the Creek, Coat of Armour and this one are my favorites. I love his music and I wish I lived in Britain so I could hear him on the radio instead of Iggy Azalea or Meghan Trainor. This is REAL music and it's awesome!!!

Such a poignant yet soothing song that can mix ones emotions. George, with songs like these, you are here to stay. On another note, when I first heard this song, I could only think of the collective group from "The Walking Dead", especially for the character Rick Grimes for how dark he is becoming. Would certainly make for an interesting video to the song.

On the drive home I listened to a segment on NPR about this guy and had to listen to more of his music once home...........it's unique, soulful, poetic, amazing!  Read another comment on one of his songs, "baby face with an old man's voice", more like a soul man's voice............I'm 61 and yet I love this sound, it's ageless and timeless.  Later, have to order the CD...................................ENJOY!
