I actually know some folks who knew a dude named BillBo...not kidding...who was a hard working very sweet dude married to a drunk trailer park slut ( who threw hot weinie water on him and burned him ) and one day he went to a nice lady's house to do some work and he went home and pretty much just got his stuff and then moved in with her and never left.  But his first wife drank herself to death not long after and he lived in the big nice 4 bedroom home with the richer lady in the nice part of town and far as I know they are still together.  I knew for a fact the first one abused him...I saw it myself.  I don't normally go for leaving one spouse for another  but I saw her verbally and physically abuse him so he had to do better.  The new lady took really good care of his kids too.  I don't know what his first wife's problem was.

I could let him sing to me anytime he has a voice of gold it is a shame that him and Vern godson never got what they deserved I think they sing better then George jones who I love also may he rip but these guys are true country to bad it is not like this now please start singing country again like this it would be great

One of the best voices ever when it comes to classic country music. This maybe my favorite Gene Watson song. Farewell Party is right up there with this one. That stuff they try to shove down our throats today can't hold a candle to this music.

This is real country music the stuff the industry tries to pass off as country music today should not be in this category it's nowhere close. They got it right when they sang ( Who's gonna fill their shoes) no one in today's market. I love real country music and Gene Watson is a great singer, you can feel the emotions in his voice.

DAMN I NEED A BEER !  I stopped partying over 15 years ago but listening to this brings back memories and makes me want one more beer and one more night !

From the time he hit the big time he's been a kind of modern classic, and a unique instantly recognizable voice. as good as it gets yes and his voice is still as good as it gets looking back and hearing some of his i did not put much thought into then its like they are new today and are super great songs no matter what the charts say he is a first class number one rate

Just thought I would add, that I subscribed to your POSTINGS here and would love to invite you as well...I have several songs I have sung on here, kind of new here posting on YouTube....My son and I do FAREWELL PARTY and he just signed up on SINGSNAP, I have been there 3 yrs. Ya'll this is my hometown country music hero who has gone unrecoginzed for too long. Awesome traditonal classic country music. Ohhh to only be able to turn on my radio and here this country music again would be heaven. wow, thank you, I have been searching for this song for so long. beautiful song, the love of my life use to sing it to me, I like Gene's recording which was probably the first, but around 1980 another artist recorded it, (I thought it was Adam Wade) but can't find it anywhere.

I listened to them all again tonight, livingadream2 - sounded just as good as they ever have. Gene didn't put out any bad or even mediocre songs. I just wish one could somehow create more traffic to listen to all his great songs. I give them all a 5 star rating whenever I visit - for some of them I almost feel like I'm all alone.
