I turned 36 about an hour ago and I pretty much have a hard stop for country music around the year 2000. What was nashville thinking the last 20 years?

I love Classic Country. I grew up listening to it. Today's Country , isn't Country Music.

Great entertainer.  I remember seeing him in OKC at Henson's Club.  He, TG Sheppard, Alabama, The Georges (Strait & Jones) kept us out on the dance floor with al their great songs.

And he still sings as well as ever today!! Had the honor of opening several shows for Gene! he is awesome!

Gene is a fantastic entertainer. His voice is still strong & beautiful. He always stays after his concerts & signs autographs.He is a true southern gentleman. I will see him on the 10th in Tampa.

I had the priviledge of interviewing Gene many years ago in a phone interview for a column I was writing for a publication. He is one of the all time true country professionals that continues to be on the top of the list of authentic, incredible true artists .. He runs a tie race with Merle Haggard..
