Gaye, Marvin - You've Been A Long Time Coming Lyrics

You've been a long time coming
But darlin', welcome home
You've been a long time coming
But darlin', welcome home

So many nights I've called your name
Not knowing if I'd see you again
You've been a long time coming
But, oh, baby, welcome home

Feel, feel kinda, kinda, kinda good right now
Feel so good baby, yeah
You've been a long, real long time coming
But darlin', welcome home

You've been a long, long, long time coming
Oh, baby, welcome home

So many nights, I sit lookin' at the wall
Hoping, praying for your call
You've been a long, long time coming
But oh, baby, welcome home

Feel kinda good, so good right now
Feel so good, baby, yeah
Ha, feel so good having you home, baby
Yeah, yeah, ooh, don't ever leave me

Marvin the prince of Motown he left us great great music

I agree Robert I love one more heartache

"One More Heartache" was a great song that doesn't get the love it deserves. Another great "unsung" tune was "When I Had You Love."

Moods of Marvin Gaye could of been Marvin's greatest album of all time but the middle of the road songs of side two like night life, I worry about you, and one for the road destroyed any chance of it being a classic album although side a is perhaps the best of any Marvin Gaye's album including What's Goin On!

mmm....you may have a point there Robert but I think Motown was trying to make Marvin's range wider to many listners. This was Motown's way of broadening their artists.
