Garth Brooks - Cowboys Forever Lyrics

They were carved from the canyons
Raised on the plains
Made for stampedes and Cowtown saloons
They choked on the trail dust
Slept out in the rain
Led hard lives that ended too soon
That one generation that transformed a nation
As descendants of those chosen few

We’re cowboys, cowboys forever
We’ll stand together as long as we live and breathe
We’re cowboys, cowboys forever
We’ve always been, it’s what we’ll always be
Cowboys forever

Now they’re cops in the city
Their lives on the line
They’re truck drivers hauling that freight
They’re young soldiers leaving their loved ones behind
They’re all those who pull their own weight
That one generation that transformed a nation
As the decedents
We all salute here

We’re cowboys, cowboys forever
We’ll ride together as long as we live and breathe
We’re cowboys, cowboys forever
We’ve always been, it’s what we’ll always be
We’re cowboys forever

We’re cowboys, cowboys forever
We’ll ride together as long as we live and breathe
We’re cowboys, cowboys forever
We’ve always been, it’s what we’ll always be
We’re cowboys forever

Stunning BLUE EYES, loving gentleness with determined strength. What a combination. The many music videos are a fitting tribute to him. Thanks.

Robert Fuller - my sister and I met him in Bakersfield, CA in 1973 (I think it was 🤔 -- memory not so good any more). My sis got her cowgirl hat autographed. I didn’t have anything but my body available, so I had him autograph my arm.

Almost 60 years later, and looking back through old reruns finally available again, I have realized where I got most of my values and openions, long ago as an impressionable child watching late 50's/early 60's TV. And I chose mine mainly from Laramie, Wagon Train and Maverick. And, Yes, in those days, even Maverick had values. I shudder to think about what "values" kids are picking up from today's television programs !!!

Well I grew up on the A Team so don't leave me alone in a fully tricked out garage.

Even if nobody else much is commenting, this IS one of the best and I really hope that Robert Fuller has seen it. This one is perfection !!!

This is one of the best with the pictures and music. Thanks

If I had to choose just one, this one would definitely be a top contender !!!

I can't believe that there's still not any more comments on this on this one. In my opinion, it's very close to the top of the best of the best of all the Laramie videos.

This is one of the best Laramie videos ! It is so perfectly what Laramie was , and the combination of song and video captures totally the heart and soul of Laramie. I loved it, and I can't watch this one without crying.

Ashton- I think I accidentally erased the reply that you made to this comment. I didn't mean to but I dozed off while playing this and my hand slipped. I am so glad that someone else has finally commented on it. I can't imagine why there hasn't been lots. I think it's great !!! Merry Christmas !!!
