I rarely comment under songs. But I felt extremely free when I listened to this song. The organic, villager sound I'm getting is awesome. Also, God bless you for that explanation you gave about your song 'Butterfly', seriously initiated a deeper understanding of what God has been revealing to me about my destiny.

I love this genre of music and used to listen to a lot of secular music. Now that I’m at deeper in Christ I only fill my self with Christian music I’m so glad I found my genre of music that worships the Jesus Christ. I pray for Josh and ask the Lord to continue to bless him with Songs of Heaven. It’s truly a blessing to have a Christ follower using his talent for the Lord. IM SO THANKFUL.

The Lord used this beautiful song in a mighty way for me today. I woke up with it going through my mind this morning. It was the beginning of my breakthrough of praise to Him in the midst of debilitating chronic pain that I've been suffering with for 2 years. I was able to praise Him for every second of being pain free and also in spite of the pain. I've had moments like this in the past 2 years, but not like this. This was ALL day and I have an overwhelming joy and rest that has not left me, even to this moment. Thank you for being a vessel of the Lord for me Josh! ❤

This is pretty close to what I heard, except I thought the first verse started:

A thankful offering


What you have for the rest of that verse and the entire second verse is exactly what I was thinking. The third verse sounds to me like:

And stay awake
My Lord - He won't delay
So keep that oil on the flame
This darkness will soon fade away
[You and I?] will see him face to face


I still am not sure about that last line, but it sounds like more than just "and" to me. Maybe I'm just hearing things. Haha.

The first verse, second line would make sense as you wrote, "With joy bring," to keep everything rhyming (sing, bring, offering, everything, King).



I wasn't sure about the line in the third verse that ends with "flame" until I read what you wrote:

I love Josh Garrels's voice, but sometimes it takes a while to get all the words right. But then, listening to the song is so much more meaningful.
