Garrels, Josh - Butterfly Lyrics

I'm befuddled why anyone would give this a thumbs down, why people got to hate...

You don’t understand how powerful this song is for me.

Butterflies, BLUE butterflies 🦋 even more specifically is one of the ways God talks to me.

It all started with a dream I had the night before my son, Rivers, ( who was divinely named— but another story for another day) was born.

I dreamt I took him home from the hospital in a lovely white box, and when I opened it up, he emerged as the most beautiful blue butterfly 🦋 I’d ever seen. I had this dream on 12/1/2013 and on **12/2** Rivers was born.

The scripture Romans **12:2** —uses the word “transformed” , which years later, when God put it on my heart to study to original OT Hebrew and original OT Greek scriptures — I found out *transformed* comes from the Greek *metamorpheo* which is exactly where our english metamorphosis of a butterfly 🦋 comes from!

Fast forward to seven months after Rivers was born, I lost my younger brother Jacob, in a very tragic way, whom I was very close with. We were like soul twins.

It wasn’t until after Jacob passed over, that I found out from my dad, he used to read his bible by this ceramic piece of two blue butterflies each day. 🦋 🦋

To make things weirder— 4 years to the exact date of the first dream on 12/1/2013— on 12/1/2017, I had a dream of TWO blue butterflies 🦋🦋


I honestly could go on and on about all the other “coincidences “ and crazy blue butterfly things that have happened since, and even things stemming to my childhood God has shown me in hindsight— but I would need to write a book for that haha ❤️🦋

@Anesu Anne just a few years. I say pagan but most people would call it witchcraft. I'm not a practicing witch, I just have an interest in the natural world and into physics. I'm very much a science kind of person. I'm open to all religions though and I don't feel any one religion is the right one. I like Buddhism very much. I think there's a commonality all religions have. I just wish more people were open and didn't feel that their religion is the only way to be. I think that's what kind of turned me off about Christianity, most aren't open to other religions. Terrible things are done in the name of religion so I just remain neutral and open. Witchcraft, true witchcraft, has absolutely nothing to do with the devil or evil, infact they don't even believe in the devil. Neither do satanists. I think maybe luciferins worship the devil but don't quote me on that. I just like the thought of spirituality. I definitely believe in God but not sure about Christ being the only way to him. I just recently died on June 14th and spent 3 days on a ventilator so I've been giving a lot of thought to this. I don't know why I'm still here. When I woke up I had Josh Garrels song "colors" playing in my head. I can't explain any of it and I don't remember anything from the coma. I heard nothing or saw nothing. It's just all so surreal!

Very nice song about the internal changes that God does in us. Taking something like a worm and making it into something beautiful.
A metamorphosis is over a period of time, just like the changes which take place in us, to make us more like Jesus.
