Technically they arent indie they are signed to fueled by ramen the same company as Panic! at the Disco

I really like the juxtaposition of the really dark lyrics that sound straight out of a speech at a funeral for a close friend to a really upbeat track. The Front Bottoms have always been really good at that sort of thing without it seeming like a painfully obvious attempt to do this sort of thing. A song everyone jumps to is Jump by Van Halen but if you want a textbook example of this, I recommend listening to Bulletproof Love by Pierce the Veil. While it's a little hard to get past the vocals, it's a great example of a song where if you don't hear the words being said, it could easily pass as a vapid pop/rock song.
