Frank Sinatra - Young At Heart Lyrics
Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you're young at heart.
For it's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you're young at heart.
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams.
And life gets more exciting with each passing day.
And love is either in your heart, or on it's way.
Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on earth
To be young at heart.
For as rich as you are, it's much better by far
To be young at heart.
And if you should survive to 105,
And here is the best part, you have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart.
[Musical interlude]
And if you should survive to 105,
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive!
And here is the best part, you have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart.

Frank Sinatra Young At Heart Comments
If Frank had survived to 105 he'd still be with us today.
I'm 18 years old. I didn't really know who Frank Sinatra was for a while. Rocksteady's Batman Arkham Knight, a video game, features I've Got You Under My Skin in the game, in the beginning. I've appreciated oldies more, and Frank more, in part because of that video game. This a good song, and has wonderful advice. To whom it may concern: how did you first get introduced to Frank Sinatra if you remember?
- Aldo
They used to show this movie in heavy rotation in New Haven Ct back in the 1980's. I used to avoid it like the flu. Finally, in the late 90's, I finally gave into it & watched it. I LOVED IT!!!! These days they don't show these classic movies on network TV. They show trash like Jerry Springer, & court-show's, & B.S. like, "Dr.Phil." All very boring.
Who’s here after watching Jawbreaker?
The Beautiful Lyrics to print out:
Fairy tales can come true
It can happen to you when you're young at heart
For it's hard, you will find
To be narrow of mind if you're young at heart
You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on it's way
Don't you know that it's worth
Every treasure on earth to be young at heart
For as rich as you are
It's much better by far to be young at heart
And if you should survive to a hundred and five
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
And here is the best part, you have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart
And if you should survive to a hundred and five
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
And here is the best part, you have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

Fairytales can come true...
I sense that this song started out as a lively bebop tune and the lyricist got Richards to slow it down and purify the melody to make it a very lilting ballad. Kudos to Leigh!
As 20 got a very old soul 🙏❤
Jovem No Coração
Contos de fadas podem se realizar
Pode acontecer com você
Se você for jovem no coração
Você vai perceber que é difícil
Ter pensamentos pequenos
Se você for jovem no coração
Jovens no coração
E se você vai viver até os 105
Veja tudo o que você vai gerar
Fora estar vivo
E esta é a melhor parte
Você teve um bom começo
Se você estiver entre os
Jovens no coração...
I spent my childhood listening to Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and so many more thanks to grandmother. She used to play her old records every Sunday as she cleaned the house 💜 I can't thank her enough for that
Gracias maestro!!!!
absolutely gorgeous. oh, how far popular American music has fallen since the days when Frankie and Nat and Tony B. were the kings of mainstream music. thank the gods for the recorder.
Very nice
What a voice....listen to this! ...Pure Sinatra.
E.M.K. Mi too, l love this song.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! ... ❌⭕️
2019 and kicking it with some Frankie!!!
How fortunate I am celebrating my mom's 85th and my dad's 90th birthdays.
THATS WONDERFUL!!! LET THEM BE AN EXAMPLE FOR HOW TO LIVE YOUR LIFE MY FRIEND!!!!!😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Never being a Sinatra fan, I guess I dismissed this song at the time, years later after watching the Movie, "It Could Happen To You" I realized how good it is.... I actually have it by a singer called Sammy Salvo, and really like his version also.... I guess as you grow older appreciation for certain songs and singers can change. There have been a number of nice versions of this song by different singers over the years.
So beautiful and now I think about it.... I heard this for the first time aged 7 round my Pops and Grandmas house. Best advice I ever got was in this song....and that’s for a lifetime.
Daddy 🎈
This song came out in 1954; the year I was born. 😊 Sinatra was great.
Oh dear, seems as though pops love for the classics is finally infecting me too.

Any movie with this marvel...Is already a classic...Frank the complete crooner. I Need to see a couple dancing this as their first dance as a married couple. Really i need it.
This song reminds me when I was little and my baby sister is listening to it.♥️it makes my heart smile♥️
I’m not young at heart I think :/
the road is narrow minded
First song I ever memorized
I like songs that I can understand every word of it. This is one of them
Absolutely spot on life advice. And sung so beautifully..
I miss frank Sinatra so much music went downhill when he left us
remember loving this song since childhood. love the arrangement.
Yee ol Frankie...… 'blue eyes' new how to swing it; he had his own timing and it worked so well. Pure magic. Wonderful advise: stay young at heart and you well may survive to 105! Cheers All
I adore this song
If anyone hasn’t seen the movie “Young At Heart,” you should check it out!
Sinatra sings this at the opening and ending of the movie! it’s a Movie one will never forget!
Yes, it is a remake of John Garfield and Priscilla Lane's movie Four Daughters.
Shit... I'm just here from jackass 3D
A timeless wonderful song for all of us.
i love oldies!
One of my favorites
As an 18 year old, I have been living my life through these words. This is the first time I've heard this divinely written song, Frank was spot on. When you spread and manifest love every day is truly better than the last
Simply wonderful.
All I want to know is who are these 50 people who disliked this classic!!!
sal it's impossible to dislike this song... impossible
His lyrics are amazingly beautiful
I love that song especially the music the orchestra. 🖤🖤
Ma chanson préférée de Sinatra; que c'est beau!
The Chairman of the Board
Love as if you've never been hurt.

I ❤ Sinatra's music
Ashley Williams and Ashleys cherry pie
Andrea bocelli should consider singing this song 😁
As a 69 year old dude I'm happy to testify! Yeah Frankie's voice is great but this song is such awesome life advice.
You will receive no better advice today than this song.
This song is actually almost biblical or at least the message in it is.
I discovered this song recently. At the doorstep of 30, this song is beginning to get relevant.
I loved this song when it debuted. I decided then to follow its advice and did, in fact, live my life that way. It turned out great.
Being 69 ain't old to me
*N I C E.*
I heard about Sinatra around middle school and fell in love. To this day his voice sooths me. And this song is still one of my favorites.
Ab :-)
A great voice and timing by Sinatra makes this a great song, not to mention the arrangement.
I see everyone saying there here from a commercial. I haven't heard this song in forever. Good to know it's still in use today
Currently in a commercial by UC (University of Colorado) Health. Concerns an old geezer getting back in shape to run a race (1k, 5K, who knows?). Tear jerker ending! Mahalo, Gracias, Vielen Dank!
Thank you, Mrs. McDreamy
came from NJM Contracting. #1 construction company in NJ
I love Kareokee!
Here from Gatorade Commercial
My favorite commercial I love this song if you very young at heart
I will always love sinatra❤
That generation had Sinatra and we had the Beatles. Both were incredible.
Hector The Wonder Halibut I am ashamed of what my generation has...
love this song
I cry every time I hear this song. My grandmothers funeral held this song as her montage and it just gets to me every time.
bittersweet, you'll see her again, stay young at heart eh, she is
Olivia Wilson me too
Me too. My great-grandmother sang this song at her 95th birthday. She passed away 6 years ago (she was 98), but this song always makes me think of her.
Olivia, One day, you will not cry and then perhaps a hint of a smile will come upon your face. At that moment, you will get it. Perhaps a way to accelerate not crying when you hear this song is to be present (focused outside and not thinking about her) to life meaning whats outside of you. Just be present to what's outside of your head, that is, out here.
Did anyone else come from the Gatorade commercial?
You guys are the real MVP's

Beautiful song....
Really a treasure. Thank you so much.
Frank at the height of his powers.
Jeff Williams indeed!!!! 😀
Love your comment Jeff, you nailed it.
But only because of Leigh's lyrics. Again, I think this tune started off as a quick behop tune and the lyricist got Richards to rethink his harmonic scheme into a wonderful ballad.
12~20~15 SB ~ 😇
Love you, Dad and Mom, for showing me so much beauty, including Sinatra's impeccable voice and style.
Same sentiments exactly, Ed. My parents showed me all the great singers when I was a kid...mostly Italians...buy heyyyy! Ciao!

When music was still music...
This sums up what the "Chairman of the Board" delivers in each one of his songs...the Truth. One hundred years from now, the only pop music people will listen to are The Beatles and Frank Sinatra
Kevin Muckian No truer words spoken !
From the movie of the same name with Doris Day. This was also used in the movie "It Could Happen to You" during a baseball game. The audience got up and cheered!
Hugh Jones That’s exactly how I heard this song in the first place! It was on vhs and this song, when I heard it, it stuck in my head. Sometimes I just listen to this and feel okay, that experiencing life itself is beautiful and it’s okay to not have the answers to everything right now, it’ll come to me in time. It’s a very optimistic song and it still has power today.
Oh the Nick Cage lottery movie.
You're right, MrsMcDreamy88. It makes me feel better as well.
You can never wrong with Frank.
YES YES YES. All of the yes. This, right here, is my childhood...and I'm only 21...such a simple message which this song beautifully spreads.
25 now, but stll young. I love this song
One of my favorite songs when I was five years old.
The movie "Young At Heart" was a remake of "Four Daughters" from the 40's.
I was young when this song was on the charts--12 to be exact.
Lovely song, never listen to it before, I love Frankie
