Frank Sinatra - Some Enchanted Evening Lyrics
Some enchanted evening, you may see a stranger
You may see a stranger across a crowded room
And somehow you know, you know even then
That somehow you'll see her again and again
You may hear her laughing across a crowded room
And night after night, as strange as it seems
The sound of her laughter will sing in your dreams
Who can explain it, who can tell you why?
Fools give you reasons, wise men never try
Some enchanted evening, when you find your true love
When you hear her call you across a crowded room
Then fly to her side and make her your own
Once you have found her, never let her go
Once you have found her, never let her go

You should not consume someone else's memories... but this song will make you cherish yours.

Adrian Viedt is truly an underrated character!
Doom Patrol Jeremy irons is a legend
(A pic of Stordahl, followed by a pic of Rodgers and Hammerstein, at the end? NICE.)
This is the Voice, Francis Albert, singing bel canto, completely naturally.
This is the first tune I ever sang in public, as a serious voice student, without a guitar in my arms...
I acquitted myself (at a minimum) adequately, took a bow, exited the auditorium, walked out into the parking lot, and fainted.
"Is anything true?"
What are you talking about, man? Better stop playing around.
Ask Senator
True. In my case anyway. NYE 1956 it was an enchanted evening, Honolulu, Terrirtory of Hawaii, I was in a crowded room (a small dance hall) I saw a stranger, and somehow I knew even there that somehow I'd see her again and again, that enchanted evening I could hear her laughing across that croweded room, and night after night as strange as it seems the sound of her laughter would sing in my dreams. Who can explain it who could tell me why, fools give me reasons, wise men neve try. That enchanted evening, I found my true love, when I felt her calling across that crowded room. Then I flew to her side, and made her my own or all through my life I'd dream all alone. We got married in January 1958, a year and one month later. We celebrate 62 years married next month.
Love this song very much 💖💖💖
Well, Kazdam used this.
I'm sad I can't find this recording anywhere else besides YouTube
Goodbye grandad hope you and Nan are singing this together up there ❤️ miss you so much
I love this song. 💞
Wonder how many women he shagged
A sublime song by a peerless singer.
Sinatra (Francis Albert Sinatra) is one of my favorite singers, that is, along with Al Martino (Jasper Cini), Perry Como (Pierino Ronald Como), Jerry Vale (Genaro Louis Vitaliano), Jimmy Roselli (Michael John Roselli), Dean Martin (Dino Paul Crocetti), Tony Bennett (Anthony Dominick Benedetto), Vic Damone (Vito Rocco Farinola), Don Cornell (Luigi Francisco Varlaro). Yes I am being bias of singers I like after all like myself they are 100% Italian Americans. But one thing about Sinatra that he didn't do what other singers did is sing Italian songs. He did one rendition of a Mozart song sung in Italian & hat is "La carem la mano" that can be listen too on YouTube.
Sinatra's voice is amazing, but he needed to reach the high note at the end. I prefer Al Jolson's rendition. A more full bodied baritone, and that last note makes all the difference.
Nobody asked you mr wanna be Music buff guy
Recalls a memory from that era, 1949, her name was Marilyn Rosengarten.
OMG!! This song brings tears to my eyes. We sang it back in 1965 in my High School Choir Class! Some Enchanted Evening 💝
My parents love song....hope they hear it in heaven.
Beautiful hehas my heart
Beautifully performed, but what a dud of a song. Why is this considered a classic?
EnoVarma There are other versions (other singers) that are much better and more engaging
@Tiana Joiner Thank you.
One more thing im end to the bed im mean im off to bed goodnight.
Never heard this but sounds reaĺy familiar
This song comes from the amazing musical South Pacific. The great movie production features Mitzi Gaynor and Rossano Brazzi. I highly recommend it!
Reminds me of my grannys jewellery box
The Nun?
Magical.
My school’s musical theatre choir did this song and I had no clue this had been done by ole blue eyes himself!

Not at all suited for Sinatra's voice. A rather poor rendition.
Nonesense
Nonsense. But I prefer the version in the Seduction compilation.
You're insane but to each their own
This was my beloved grandad's party piece. I miss him so much but hearing this song helps me to both grieve and heal. Thanks for posting it.
Some enchanted evening, you may see a stranger
You may see a stranger across a crowded room
And somehow you know, you know even then
That somehow you'll see here again and again
Some enchanted evening, someone may be laughing
You may hear her laughing across a crowded room
And night after night, as strange as it seems
The sound of her laughter will sing in your dreams
Who can explain it, who can tell you why?
Fools give you reasons, wise men never try
Some enchanted evening, when you find your true love
When you hear her call you across a crowded room
Then fly to her side and make her your own
Or all through your life you may dream all alone
Once you have found her, never let her go
Once you have found her, never let her go.
A song for the ages.
This is a perfection. A young Sinatra so eloquent and lyrical. Such beauty and intimacy in his phrasing and in his voice. Philip Quast also does thee most amazing rendition. its bigger but no less beautiful.
This must be about the most romantic, but non-corny song ever written, with the best tune and the best sung into the bargain!
Some enchanted evening, you may see a stranger,
You may see a stranger across a crowded room,
And somehow you know, you know even then,
That somewhere you'll see here again and again.
Some enchanted evening, someone may be laughing,
You may hear her laughing across a crowded room,
And night after night, as strange as it seems,
The sound of her laughter will sing in your dreams.
Who can explain it, who can tell you why?
Fools give you reasons, wise men never try.
Some enchanted evening, when you find your true love,
When you feel her call you across a crowded room,
Then fly to her side and make her your own,
Or all through your life you may dream all alone.
Once you have found her, never let her go,
Once you have found her, never let her go.
There's a magic about _Some Enchanted Evening_that sends chills up and down my spine, no matter who sings it.
'It's Frannnnnnikkeeee!" (faints)
so pure and honest. he talked and sang as one. mesmerizing. relax. listen, it will pull you in.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my entire life. Y'all don't understand! I wish there was an emoji for crying tears of joy lol
That was for Imani M :)
How about these emojis? 😅😍
TomFoti I would love to see it live! I own a Rogers And Hammerstein collection that includes the movie 💕 one of my favorite musicals! I also love that Frank did "That's For Me" from State Fair, another top favorite of mine
Rae Smith those work 😉😁
Temptations remade this classic and its just as beautiful
i think frank Sinatra wrote this about my grandparents lol
Look, I love Frank Sinatra, but this song is not for him. You need to be a full-bodied baritone to sing it, someone like Ezio Pinza or Giorgio Tozzi.
gattamelata1940 Agreed — I even enjoy Philip Quast’s version more (despite the failed attempt at a French accent)
OMG I sang this song in my school choir a couple years back, and I never knew who sang it, until now. I really liked this song :D
Sinatra should not have been allowed anywhere near this song,.
You should have been allowed to be aborted
I would have to agree on some other songs, but NOT THIS ONE! THIS IS PERFECT!
Excuse me, but his version is amazing, especially the one he made in 1963. His age and experience added to the feeling of this song.
check out on you tube martin purcell someehanted evening limericks got talent
This song reminds me of many family & friends. However, most of all it reminds me of Bruce & Sally. They met and life moved on. Then life brought them back together, again & again until they finally realized their Enchanted Evening had arrived. They married & have 4 wonderful children, and I am so Blessed to call them friends.
no one cares
Jerome Manzano Do you even have a heart?
Ah what an amazing version of this lovely song. My grandfather passed away yesterday leaving his wife of 65 years and this was always their song. Every time it would play they would hold hands. I'll never forget it. Love Frank too.
+Hannah S My father died on Wednesday 20 April 2016. He was married to my mother for 62 years. This was their song too. I will never forgot him. He loved Frank. Great song.
That's so sweet :)

I had to comment as my Nanna passed away yesterday and this was her and my Grandpa's song. I played it to her during her final days and found great comfort thinking they were going to be reunited again. It will be played at her funeral too xxxx
This is amazing. I played it for my great uncle an hour before he passed away a few months ago.
How did Sinatra sang it so beautifully? Oh, I don't know. I just can't stop listening to it.
His voice was beautiful ♥ pure magic

Nagyon tetszett ez a csodálatos dal.
Köszönettel.
Wish his songs were more lushly orchestrated like in the second half of the sixties. But his singing is phenomenal. No singer before or after him couldn't touch him.
