Frank Sinatra - If I Should Lose You Lyrics

If I should lose you, the stars would fall from the sky
If I should lose you, leaves would wither and die
The birds in May-time - they'd sing a mournful refrain
And I would wander around - hating the sound of rain
With you beside me, the rose would bloom in the snow
With you beside me, no winds of winter would blow
I gave you my love - and I was living a dream
But living would seem - in vain if I
(Hating the rain - if I)
(All is in vain if I)
If I ever lost you

This was arranged by the great Sammy Nestico, Quincy Jones only conducted it at the session

Beautiful for what reason? Because there are two famous names? This is an exemple of the most commercialized Sinatra. Of course he was able to sing well, but maybe from him andQuincy Jones we would expect someyhing not so trivial....Do you understand what I mean?

They just make it look easy.

oi oi. it's the phrasing. try singing along and you'll find that even tho it sounds like a straight rendition, franks vocal bounces across he song. it may be commercial but it still swings yeh baby ooh yeh 4 real

    ¿Realmente estas cuestionando al maestro?

I kinda do, but I really don't. I think this was a guy who had so much music in him he just had to do it again. He grabbed Basie's best guy and said, "shoot". If the songs were in a different order, I think the album would have been a hit.
