Frank Sinatra - Blue Lace Lyrics
Blue lace, her gown was blue lace,
She wore the promise of springtime and laughter.
Daybreak, we talked till daybreak
Without a warning of what might come after.
Her touch was velvet, I still can feel it
Sometime in mid-December,
I hear the music, the echo of springtime laughter,
All day I see the old days,
When I'd seen the young girls in blue, blue lace.
Her gown was blue lace, such lovely blue lace,
Her gown was blue.

beautiful
A Marie Blair : Tengo el Long Play de vinilo donde está esta canción.
Kind of pensive song, that FS recorded in 1968. Lovely.
Never knew about this song. It was, I think, on the flip side of the My Way single. I was on a trip to New York city and I found it on a juke box in a downtown restaurant. Luckily I was with a fellow Sinatra fan and we played it about 10 times.
I agree, the song should be heard more than once. For me, I'm almost 60 years old, it's a song with feeling that takes you back in the memories of life.
This song was the BSide from the "My Way" record.
Reminds me of Prom Season!
10seconds of dead air, please correct!
Absolutely beautiful. Have been looking for years for the CD album which this song was on. My mother had the old vinyl LP.
Maybe it wasn't converted to CD. Cannot remember the title of the album.
unfortunately for the title of the cd album , I can't help you
+Marco Romano That's OK. Thanks Marco for posting this. It is years since I heard it last.
Don't think it was ever on an album. It was on the 'B' side of the My Way single in the UK
This song is on my old LP, titled Bes of Frank Sinatra Volume II. Don't know if this helps!
"Best of Sinatra Vol.2" has 'Blue Moon' on it, but not 'Blue Lace', unfortunately!
My steady girl that I took to the Senior Prom wore a gown with blue lace.
as rare as hen's provervials.
This is another song I haven't heard and began liking it upon your posting it... thank you for introducing me to it.
thanks to you Henry :))
I first heard this song 42 years ago when I was 15...so nice to hear it again, thanks for sharing:-)
Beautiful song..
I love this song...
it's a bit of a rarity, I have Blue Lace on a cassette, it's a very pretty song from 1968.
One of his prettiest love songs along with" I believe I'm going to love you".
