Foo Fighters - Winnebago Lyrics
Able bodied, chew the word
Cop to plenty, sell the tour
Split the moment, seal the sheet
Take the hemlock, beg to see
Never holding, to a pole
Winnebago, we were one
Hold in wonder, spoke and wheel
She divorces, party zeal
Daddy loves little son, no demand
Able bodied, chew the word
Cop to plenty, sell the tour
Take the hemlock, beg to see
Crawl along, lookin'up 'til you stand

Foo Fighters Winnebago Comments
Dave has talked about re-releasing the first album with the band. Everyone in the band down voted it. Personally, the album with the non album tracks and Pocket watch demos would be killer!!!!
Might be their best song
Those riffs that start @ 1:20 remind me of "Big Money" by Rush
I have heard this, on an old tape I got about 25 years ago but it's slightly detuned with rougher vox. I thought Dave sounded like 'the guy' on that tape when I first heard this version. Years later I find out Pocketwatch WAS Grohl! lolerz
This could be easily a Nirvana song!
I saw them in 95 and bought a shirt with that image on it
"Pocketwatch" is Grohls best work.

foofighter origins ....is why the foo is my fav rock band!
Just been listening to a lot of Foo B-sides and man, they're so frickin' awesome! Thanks for sharing this!
Is that the riff from Milk? 1:21
Gavin Farmer c#/b/e/b/c/g/f/d/f/d/f/d
Wow I am a fake fan cus in just hearing this fml this is AMAZING downloading asap
wow, these 5 dislkes
happy memories of listening to this with my best friend after school....this is why the death of the b-side is a total tragedy.
Imma make a t shirt of this...
The fill at 3:29 is mildly different than the Pocketwatch one, and yet I like the Pocketwatch one more
Win a bagel
Brad Fuller lol
Very Queens of the stone age...
JAMIE LESTER not at all😂
Makes no damn sense why this isn't on Spotify #411VM #KrisMarkovich
Kris Markovich's part brought me here. I miss those days.
Glad it's not. Even though Dave's rich, joining labels and Spotify in raping artists worse, than any time in history, is bullshit.
ROOKTABULA as opposed to listening to it on YouTube 🤨
why the hell wasn't this on the first album?! :( its bad ass \m/
Could just be that Dave though it was too similar to Nirvana compared to what song took its place.
marco andrade gay
cabro qlao xD
+Mr AndNails sabía que lo leerias jabdhd
I feel like I remember hearing this on Foo Fighters debut but it doesn't seem to be on there on Spotify?
+Jay This is on the Japanese CD edition of the debut, iirc.
Wow, that 1 dislike.
+Brennan Persing Probably Axl Rose
+Davy Grolton or courtney love
+Scotch JG Both...
+Scotch JG maybe both now there's two dislikes
There's 5 of them fuckers now. Lol!
This is the version of the foo fighters I wished still existed. This cut could've easily been on the s/t release
It was... on a bonus disc on the Australian tour edition.
This one's good, but the Pocketwatch version is way faster.
Aw man, back when FF were good.
What world do you live in?
Have you ever heard Wasting Light? That's like their best album since The Color and The Shape imo
pocketwatch!!!!!
+MrManuel “Rebel Rancio” 8751 yeesss
For your information, this song and 'Podunk' are available on the japanese edition of the first album.
And the Big Me single
Nice. Thanks.🤘
this song is a reward to those who are true foo fighters fans
ripkencat17 It was also released on the "this is a call" single
Recorded as a b-side for This Is A Call. You can tell really easily as it is in a totally different key than the Pocketwatch version.
Ah I had best of vol 2 & vol 4,check out a channel skate tube, who's uploading most of those years of 411vm,
I was looking for #17 for fiveyears on the internet, one month ago,its up
this song was also used in 411vm best of volume 3 kris markovich profile I do believe . my first skate video 1997!! great fucking year
411 SKATEVIDEOMAGIZINE#17,las vegas,hardrock vert contest,1996
one of the best guitar riffs ever
Space Ghost I accidentally tuned my guitar to C# when I was pretty knocked. Short story long, I was playing a riff for like forty minutes before I went....SHIT! That's like "Winnebago". I think the point was supposed to be, that it's in C# what a weird guitar tuning. That's the alto sax tuning lol.
hope, winnebago will replaying again in their new album..
Winnebago and Pudunk are fantastic !!!!
Podunk*
Personally, I think this would've been better on the album than something like Weenie Beenie, or Oh, George.
** in addition to
No way! Weenie Beenie rocks so hard! Oh, George I can agree with though...
I love oh george, it has the best guitar solo on the whole album
+PistachioNutt all the songs off the Debut are fantasic. NONE fo them should be replaced. Luke was right in addition to, if you were a real Foos fan you got your hands on this Big Me Maxi Single. Case closed.
@Chris Chapman definitely, it has such an awesome 90s rock and roll feel
lol not hard to find stuff on the internet u just need to actually look :)
or were there from the start and actually brought these early singles!!!
It was on Grohl's first project on "Pocketwatch" under the pseudonym "Late!" So was "Friend of a Friend" and "Marigold" (or "Color Pictures of a Marigold.")
Yeah this is old ... at the time I just figured everyone knew about it ... plus they played it at all there shows form the first tour ... but I guess not everyone has been around listening to Foo since then ...
I think this was on the 'This Is A Call' single not sure for sure but I have it ;) You can also get the other version form the Pocket Watch tape Dave put out in 92 ... its a bit different and sounds 'less produced' but the drum fill in the breakdown is badass !!!
They need this on itunes
what a great song!
this is fucking amazing.
This was played at Reading last night. Couldn't believe it.
Feed The Lawn From The Palms Of There Hands...
@JimmyCxD I know man. Just this version 10 times better. And could have easily have been put on the first FF album in place of a weaker track like "Oh, George" or something.
@DaHazzMan You have it?! I'm jealous as fuck.
It's beyond me why this wasn't on the album -.-
thegreatbungholio707 He wanted to keep some songs for live
@heavymetal7080 he was still in nirvana then.
@heavymetal7080 I do have to admit, Winnebago is a little weak on Pocketwatch but it's still good, just in my opinion not as good as this version. I do understand that it was in 91' but seriously, thousands? i'm lucky enough to have pocketwatch myself but i didn't know that it was that rare.
