Fargo, Donna - Daddy Dumplin' Lyrics
Daddy Dumplin' I love you
And your still my best buddy
So I wrote you this Daddy Dumplin' song
I used to tag along behind you
That momma sewed on your faded overalls
And every step I took behind you
I was learnin' all about you
And I'm glad I got to know you from it all
Now I can almost touch your shoulder
And we're both a little older
Since mother died I know I ain't been home
Nobody loves you
Well I wrote you this Daddy Dumplin' song
Daddy Dumplin' I love you
And your still my best buddy
I wouldn't trade you for all the daddies in the world
Daddy Dumplin' I miss you
And my heart is always with you
And no matter what you do I'll be your girl
And now I hear you found a lady
And there's gonna be a wedding
Well can I come and be your flower girl
'Cause I don't want to miss a chance
To wish you love and happiness
As you begin to rebuild your world
Daddy Dumplin' I love you
And your still my best buddy
I wouldn't trade you for all the daddies in the world
Daddy Dumplin' I miss you
And my heart is always with you
And no matter what you do I'll be your girl
Daddy Dumplin' I love you
And your still my best buddy
I wouldn't trade you for all the daddies in the world
Daddy Dumplin' I miss you
And my heart is always with you
And no matter what you do I'll be your girl

Fargo, Donna Daddy Dumplin' Comments
My heart goes out to you Mark.I love my Dad and when he passed in 99,I couldn't make it to NL to see him.I miss him sooo much.
Daddy songs are so sweet, especially for us daughters who never had that special relationship with our fathers. Hopefully men will realize how important they are to the maturity of their girls.
Where's the "LOVE" button? INstead of just like!

I was able to see and meet her back in 1978 after her show. She was a really sweet lady.
