Fallujah - Glass House Lyrics

Fallujah is definitely here somewhere, buried beneath all the monotony and mediocre songwriting. Their sound hasn’t completely changed. I can still sense the TFP and Dreamless charm, it just doesn’t feel like it went anywhere positive. Rather than evolving and producing a better record, or just playing it safe and releasing more of the same greatness we got from their previous records, we got something far worse. The band members are definitely here, working together, displaying a high level of talent and even higher potential as true musicians. But their sound has been dialed back too far, to the point where it sounds like the band members have aged 30+ years and are just continuing to produce music to eke out a living. Disappointing vocals, disappointing songwriting, weak singles, and just an overall weak presentation. Some great moments here and there, yet they’re consistently overshadowed by what simply can only be referred to as a monotonous and boring track list. Hopefully the band can rebound soon enough, because they’ve amassed quite the fanbase over the past few years, and seeing such a young and ambitious band continue down such a path would disappoint a lot of people. Myself included.
