@christine4595  It can be counted in 3/4 or 6/4, which are essentially the same time signature if you really get down to it one is just a faster version of the other if both in the same BPM.  And also because there is nothing to actually symbolize the end or beginning of a measure (i.e. snare, kick, etc.) it can be argued either way.  At the pace of this particular song it'd be easiest to count in 6's than 3's (in my opinion) but obviously Erak counts it 3's considering he gives a 3 count at the beginning of the song.  Being a musician of 15 years, I know it is most logical to count in the way you give the start count.  Giving a 3 beat start then counting in 6's would just be difficult when you consider your also singing and playing.

3/4 is NOT the same as 6/4. In 6/4 like 6/8 there's an accent on the first and 4th note of the measure. So that would make it Bam 2 3, Bam, 5, 6. This song clearly has a feel in 3/4.

Imagine my example written in numbers as how hard/loud a tone is played. The first tone will always be the one with the most accentuation, lets give it the number 3 (or strength 3) and most measures also have a second accentuated tone (that one will have the number 2 or strength 2), the rest of the notes will be regular non accentuated with the number 1 (or strength 1). Now the difference between 2 measure of 3/4 and 1 measure of 6/4 is, that the accentuation on 2 measures of 3/4 would be 3 2 1 3 2 1 the accentuauation on one measure of 6/4 would be 3 1 1 2 1 1. It is a little difference that might not be heard all the time (especially if there is no rhythm instrument involved) but maybe this helps you get the idea that there technically is a difference ;)

False. 6/4 definitely exists. Shit, Nine inch nails has a song in 13/8.

It's not a fraction. First number = beats in measure, 2nd number = type of increment you count it in.

3/4 and 6/4 are the same, only difference is that 2 bars of 3/4 = 1 bar of 6/4. And the song is obviously in 3/4, it even opens with the count for you in the form of hitting muted strings. Did none of you ever attempt to learn an instrument? I learned about time signatures when I was like 6 years old learning recorder, c'mon now.

6/4 means a quarter note gets one beat, and that there are 6 beats in a measure. 4/6 is impossible.

This was the FIRST thing I learned in music classes too. -_-

I love this song because I love all music. And I love The Fall of Troy, so for me, its a win all the way.

Anyone who doesn't get why this song is so "gay" or slow. It's because this one is about thomas' struggle exclusively. Every song they make is bassically the same energy of the lyrics, and the feelings they bring out. being projected vocally and instrumentally. But this one is about a personal struggle that thomas had, and the feeling of lonliness that a problem only you feel like you understand, and could never explain, brings out. It's a layered metaphore, not a break from thrashing.
