Faithfull, Marianne - Green Are Your Eyes Lyrics

Green are your eyes
In the morning when you rise
Don't you be afraid, my love
To lie by me
Your father will not know

Love can be broken
Though no words are spoken
Don't you be afraid to lie
By me my love
Your father will not know

Love, don't cry
I'll not try
Don't you be afraid to lie
By me, my love
Your father will not know

Yes love, don't you cry
I'll not try
Don't you be afraid to lie
By me, my love
Your father will be told someday
About our wedding day

Mick & Marianne a fascinating story. They are both great in the history of the 60

  10. S.... D....

Obs! She sings: Your father is unknown. Wikipedia says her mother was raped by red army soldiers at the end of the war 1945 and then she was saved by a british agent who took her to Britain from the red army occupation of Austria. She was born 1946 in Britain!

    S.... D....

What a stupid lying you are writing here? Where you found in Wiki this strange information?

  16. P.... B....

Beautiful song, once sung by the great Bert Jansch. She was a beautiful and innocent girl once, before meeting Jagger. But then it was also he who helped her get into the music business.

  17. c.... ....

Reminds me of "Skeeter Davis" and her number one hit "End of the World".

She's good but there's also Vashti Bunyan.

  25. c.... ....

First of all, must you use profanity?? How crude and offensive. Do you realize there are ladies on these boards? Also, you do realize that she used drugs, slept with guys outside of marriage, and she even uses profanity to this day!

  26. c.... ....

She sure wasn't innocent in real life, though.

  27. P.... P....

    There is also Patti Smith.

  39. D.... C....

Try Cm F and Gm . Play around with them a little , should be ok

  40. r.... ....

Don't get all defensive slick. It's a youtube comments section, I think I'm aloud to state my opinion man.

  41. e.... ....

Ma Cass had a better voice than any you named, and Christy McKee is every bit as good as Stevie Nicks. Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse and Janis Ian should be right up there with Janis Joplin.

  42. r.... ....

Top 5 Women singers: Marianne Faithfull, Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Sandy Denny.

  43. J.... H....

    no talent....great tits

Mick & Marianne were so beautiful together, talent & brains....

  47. C.... A....

Beautiful woman & I like her voice....is there a book with this montage?

  48. T.... ....

This is probably my favorite cover of Courting Blues by the late and great Bert Jansch. Second, would have to be the Nick Drake version.

  49. T.... ....

I love this song, I wish I could find the guitar tabs.

  50. D.... T....

    RIP bert jansch

  51. d.... c....

A hard song to play on an acoustic, with all of the hammer ons, ouch
