Inspired by Barbara Stanwyck being nicknamed as "Missy" I have long termed this outrageously Sapphic bonafide RockStar as Melissa "Missy"Etheridge. Not actually a fan of Missy, this very early tune is a bit of a guilty pleasure to me. I do like the tune, which is,thankfully presented here in it's studio vesion ,and not actually live,as claimed here.. The melodramactiness of the song are somewhat appealing to me. Far on the other spectrum, this is something you would actually expect to have been written by a Queen. Could there be more softness in a lesbian than I am aware of ? I mean the sad Whitney Houston and the supertalented KD Lang were quite romantic and ,of course, made very soft music..........
