I hate when there's always 1 of 1000 complaining about Jesse cleans, changing tunings, not changing tunings, or just ERRA itself... Jeez i can listening to hundred songs in standard tuning yet they all sound unique and different.

Seriously...this outro is a work of art. The harmonizing gives me chills. What an awesome freaking song. 

At first I hated the clean vocals and thought they ruined the band, but after extended listening I've learnt to get into them. They're actually pretty cool, adds variety to the music.

I literally just discovered this band 10 minutes ago, but I can honestly say I havent been this excited about anyones music since the first time I ever listened to between the buried and me.

This song is like a big fuck you to everyone who said ERRA lost their melodic touch when they heard "Dreamcatcher" Melodies all around! Definitely my favorite song off the EP! The EP is sonically similar to Augment, but seeing as how good Augment is, this isn't a bad thing

Jesse's vocal melodies are definitely becoming more varied. This release as a whole is a nice step in the right direction. Augment sounded almost exactly like impulse and even dream catcher sounded like it could be on either album. But the rest of the EP sounds like a worthy progression.

I think him doing Ghost Atlas made his singing even better

I don't know. To me, Impulse was different in some way to Augment. Impulse has these mental lyrics, which are focussed on a lot, while Augment focusses a lot on the FUCK YO EARS HERE'S SOME INSANE GUITAR RIFFS WITH EPOC BASS, like on Rebirth and Hybrid Earth. Still agree with you that they are evolving as a whole.

Never understood why people get mad at bands that finally make it big (main stream). I am beyond thrilled to see these guys becoming a household name in the metal community. Can't wait to snag some Erra merchandise at hot topic.

Don't forget, even if they are a household name *within* the metal community, that still doesn't make them mainstream. Taylor fucking Swift is mainstream. What makes a band *able* to be mainstream is compromise. They have to cater to the *lowest common denominator*, which is something ERRA will never do (hopefully). I'm glad they aren't truly mainstream. I'm also glad they are being recognized *within* the metal community for their obvious talents.

@Omni Codex I suppose so. I'm not sure what you'd consider a main stream band in this genre.

@seth vanhaelst This entire genre isn't mainstream lol. No current prog/djent metalcore band will EVER see Beyoncé numbers. Metal fans aren't dumb enough for that.

Mainstream: The common thought of the majority.
For example the most commonly listened to  bands in Metalcore are Asking Alexendria, peirce the veil, Memphis Mayfire, can be labled mainstream metalcore. The genre itself is not mainstream. Lets relax and enjoy some erra :)

Erra is one of my favorite bands but they really need to readjust the sound in this ep. The bass is so loud you can't really even make out the vocals.

Yeah I feel ya. Garrison had a better range. When I saw them live a few nights ago it seemed like Ian struggles with the older material when it came to highs or fast paced screaming. Hopefully as they progress he'll become more comfortable with it tho! Indeed different from their prior line ups!
